  1. Kat GSX 1000cc Input shaft R/H side 1 x 26 x 62 x 17 Input Shaft L/H Side 1 x 20 x 47 x 14 Output Shaft R/H Side 1 x 20 x 47 x 14 Output Shaft L/H side 1 x 26 x 62 x 17 GSX 1100 1074cc Input shaft R/H side 1 x 26 x 62 x 17 Input Shaft L/H Side 1 x 20 x 47 x 14 Output Shaft R/H Side 1 x 20 x 47 x 14 Output Shaft L/H side 1 x 26 x 62 x 17 They also share the same input and output shafts “bit of a trend maybe” guess what size O/D 1135cc gearbox bearings are... Bearing Centres are 125 / 130 ish from memory I don’t have a set of open cases to hand but will have at week-end GS1000 2 V box uses same bearings but shafts and bearing centres are 5mm ish shorter can't physically measure as I sold all my 2V stuff to a race team a few years ago but as you have to machine a 4 V clutch basket down on width to fit in a 2V I'm close…. But I do still have a very naughty 1000cc Katana block that came from a race team that did very well in there class and never got rumbled .. the old 250 hustler 2 smoke had a 6 speed box with 52mm bearings and needle rollers "but I,ve slept a few times since the 70's when i worked at Suzuki Dealers" and given they only made about 35 beans the gears were not that wide "strong". think oil boiler 750 gear next to a oil boiler 1100 gear but not a cbr box Hamamatsu must like the 62mm bearing O/Dia as they used it on the Oil Boiler box as well ....
  2. Lost me there What do I need to correct ? So if the clutch side is stock parts in stock place as your pic shows.....explain how the sprocket side works "as it looks stock to me" and you cbr box is a lot longer so one side must be different from stock.....
  3. As I said originally I don’t see that gearbox coming out of that motor as based on the the evidence there just bog stock 1000,1100 16v cases .. IMO
  4. Given the evidence presented ....... If its got 998cc block then given silver cases ignition pick ups and slide carbs "I recon whats in pic is a 1000cc Kat motor" in a dented 1135 efe frame..."750 frame is different at rear" Now as the clutch appears to be where it should be "So cases not modified on that side for the mystery box" SO move to the LH side Again looks to me like a 1135EFE Frame ..."750 is different at rear"...... Now look at the sprocket cover looks to me to be where it would be.... so if the clutch side has not been modified the longer out put shaft would mean major surgery to this side and would mean an offset sprocket and cutting the frame for the chain run so if the box came out of that motor to quote Miss Wilcox "its a misstery " Engine No less motors while not run of the mill were quite common on factory race-bikes where engines had been built or rebuilt with new cases ... Revs Hot Clutch had number less Yoshi motors
  5. Those are 16V cases ...as to fit 16V block and Head on 8V cases means Major work Liberty and Vance and Grimes both do a 6 speed for the 16v cases "Read v expensive" if you have as the pic tried the box in GSX 1100 "16V" cases and it don't fit as your pic shows have you considered the idea that its not the box that came out of the motor in the quoted pic above and you have mixed it up with another 6 speed box..........
  6. On the draw thru oil boiler I run 17-48....only get to 4th on a 9.5 1/4 The draw thru EFE I sold ran 17-45... and that ran 9.8 sec 1/4
  7. Come on Dave you know that old thing don't handle and has a hinge in the frame LoL
  8. Yoshimura offer various sender options http://shop.yoshimura-jp.com/en/product/result.php?first=9
  9. He runs / owns a Ditch Pump Dealership...... Given its geared for the 1/4th and goes 4.3 to the 1/8th it would give the pro mod boys a run for there money geared for the 1/8th ...a 3.9 could be in range ...
  10. I,ve read that its common to run 24v to the starters....
  11. No Sweary dint listen to Steve just gave him some verbal "how surprising" but he did change it on the oil boiler frames strangely Martek frames always had the tubes parallel
  12. And unlike another big tube Ali frame the tubes run parallel with the head fins
  13. One of the class rules is bikes must have on board starting system....
  14. The Motor must be near 100k on its own The Basic Cylinder Head is $5000.....the one on Brads is more like $20,000 alone..... It is one quick machine and the jockey must be worth 0.5 on the ticket
  15. its all in the prep I,ve used pound shop "black gloss" with no problems
  16. It broken the choke should work on all 4
  17. seen the price of Suzuki OEM one
  18. Given the Inlet Ports are on different Centres it would make sense that the exhaust ports are as well.... But most aftermarket "not welded into the collector!" systems will fit either with a little fiddling around
  19. WHat are the springs rated at ? some of the compound turbo tractor puller dezels run up to 8 Bar......but they often Hydraulic the motors and I guess The Storm FB runs over 2 Bar.... Nitro Dragsters and FCs run huge spring pressure but they service the heads every run So in conclusion better springs is a good idea....."I wont mention the possible downside,s"
  20. But in all honesty you would most likely gain as much by just blue printing the stock motor
  21. no substitute for cubic inches cc s
  22. Cheep yes but helical primary gears ... So for not much more $ you can have straight cuts on the Blandit or other GSXR 1052 or 1127 motors
