Luv that shock linkage mega chip shop points
  3. Geometry is not the best IMO.... top shock mount is to low ..."standard slabbie mount I guess" which in turn forces the mount for the bottom rocker to be lower ...."bottom rocker looks to be Blandit"
  4. July 7th cars only according to faceache page Or http://www.liverpoolmotorclub.com/Barbon-hillclimb/
  5. Video of the foolishness .. https://youtu.be/xQioI_GQPG0
  6. Mark Watkins "there's that name again " Put a GSX Motor in a slabbie frame many moons ago for drag racing...It was for sale again recently but it has an Oil Boiler back in it now....
  7. Not without major Surgery Stick an Oil Boiler in it
  8. Should that not be never made ID plate No 013....
  9. No it’s relatively easy to do.. .but I would not recommend for it for a road bike Air Cooled Bottom End and block Fitted with GSXR 1100 Pistons Topped of with GSXR 750 Dot Head......Simples ...........
  10. Those cracks are quite common ..most don't worry about them and carry on using the head....
  11. if its the same as a blandit one they are not needed as the large centre nut holds it all together but if you want some they are £2.83 each from Robinsons
  12. Common trick is to modify a chinky monkey bike gear pump....
  13. Option 1 part of existing one next to the shoulder... Turn up a new section of the desired length ...prep both parts , clamp into vee block or piece HD Angle tack rotate tack rotate weld rotate blah blah...clean up and use Option 2 part of existing one next to the shoulder... Cut a piece of stock bar to the desired length +10mm.....prep both parts . clamp into vee block or piece HD Angle tack rotate tack rotate weld rotate blah blah...Bore a piece of bar that's same O/D as the Lifter to fit over the new section and part off to required thickness ....set up on new section leaving the excess length sticking out and fillet weld round it......clean up and use Simples PS add the cir-clip groove "but I,ve ran with out one" Option 3 buy one from Nick Pepper at about £105 + post
  14. If you spin the tyre at the hit.. the lock up will just lock up and not do its job "slip" .....so assuming you are using the same RPM you either need to take static out or drop the tyre pressure .... "I would start with the tyre " an easy clue to if the Lock-up is doing it job is how often do you have to service the clutch and change the oil ..........?
  15. I still don't think you need a spacer that thick TBH.....you should only need one the thickness of the MTC one... Ok Item on the left is from an MTC / Orient Express Lock up kit for a GSX 1100E "commonly referred to as an EFE.... it is 70mm long measured "as you do a bolt" from under the head Item on the right is a stock item from the same model " Suzuki Part No RELEASE RACK (23165-49201)" It is 40mm long measured from the same place..... if you have the one for your cover its not much of a job to extend it ....
  16. It's longer by the same thickness of the spacer....but 57mm sounds a lot I think the oil boiler spacer is about 25mm thick....
  17. Ian I am guessing his 750 has this cover which will take a GSX lifter as I have one for a project
  18. Simple answer is no but one from an air cooled 1100 lock up kit would work..Or change the sprocket cover to a blandit 6 set up and work the clutch thru the gearbox..which is more work ...so may be easier to make one.....
  19. It can be frustrating at times 1 step forward = 2 steps back.....BTDTGTS... Just turn the Blue bottle off and go back to your base line set up and get the 60ft right....the most important thing is jockey consistency.... then turn it back on and work on the set up need for the extra beans ....as it will be sure to need a few tweak's ... and only change one thing at a time ...
  20. 4th digit of part no is cylinder no................
  21. Assuming that the cylinder is running Most likely a tad richer than the others
  22. You’re confusing two company’s....the husband and wife business was My mate RIP Dave Grant and Wendy called braided steel....that some years after Dave’s death was closed by his widow Wendy. The other Business Pro-Bolt run by Mark whose surname evades me and is the Uk agent for those mega wide swing arms is still in business under another name ...Nothing to do With Dave Grant RIP
