  1. That looks rather tastey. Some nice engineering there.
  2. But if it's an 1100 tank on a 750, you should be okay.
  3. Same physical dimensions between the 750 and 1100 tanks. The fuel tap is mounted a little more forward on the 750 tanks and can fowl the corner of the rocker cover on an 1100. A pingle tap might be a little slimmer and give a little more clearance.

    Brake hose

Venhill would be a safe bet. Plenty of options with the choice of fittings. Go for a pvc coating as it'll protect the brittle overbraid. http://www.venhill.co.uk/Hoses_&_Cables_-_Custom/Custom_Brake_and_Clutch_Lines
  5. We don't have mot's here in Ireland (yet). I think it's a case of using common sense. As every tester is an individual, they will have their own opinion on the matter. Some may fail it while others will pass it. You have to ask yourself, why would it fail? Is there a chance of the chains snagging on a component which could jam your steering while riding it? Are the chains anchor points up to the job since chains would have a tendency to whip taunt. How will chains react to a tankslapper? Just a few questions I can think of that a tester may ask too. I don't think there would be many testers that would sign off on that mod seeing as it's their neck on the block if anything goes wrong if they passed it.
  6. All w/c 750 and 1100 have longer stands than slingshots. Somewhere like around an inch longer. Just use the slingshot frame bracket with the w/c stand/ springs.
  7. Easiest thing to do is enter the part no. on eblag. There's a huge amount of Suzuki's that use this same part in their clutches. GSX1100G, TL1000, 14/15 Intruders, some years of K series gsxr 600/750/1000 etc. all share the same part. Bandit 1200- 23110-38B00 I think the 1127 rod is different in length slightly. ( 23110-27A00) as it too is used in a host of other models of Suzuki, such as other years of K series etc. So be careful which one you order.
  8. Bandit 1200 mk.1 and 2, GSXF1100 powerscreen and all 1127 slingshots share the same starter clutch cover.

    B12 upgrades?

GSXR 750M cams are from a shim head, are they not? Not compatible with a bandit 12 locknut head.
  10. It's 28mm'ish at the base, tapering to 25mm at the top.

    Ignition

Get a ring spanner on the crank trigger to stop it moving, then turn inner bolt. Try an allen key first to see if the bolt will budge. I find using an allen impact bit with an air gun set on the lowest setting (gentle vibration) will shift the bolt. More than likely the allen bolt is already rounded. If so carefully hammer a suitable torx impact bit in to the bolt and do the same step with air gun. Just take your time, last thing you need is the head of the bolt shearing off.

    Carb sizes

The inside diameter, (the carbs flow) is how carbs are measured.
  13. It just so happens I have a slingshot frame I've modded for a single sider standing in the hall. The raised boss is 10-12mm (frames angled here) Hope this helps.
  14. Another option for you is to have a small bracket welded under the arm and use a shorter torque arm. That way there's no nasty looking mods to the ET frame. Food for though anyway.
  15. On a slingshot frame there's a kind of counterbored hole in the frame. A single bolt will be enough as that's used as standard. A pic tells a thousand words.
  16. The magazine or the actual bike?
  17. I'd be well impressed if a slingshot falls out from behind the cushions.
  18. I always do the floats with the carbs upside down. The trick is to have the carbs at enough of a tilt so the weight is taken off the actual float. The floats tang is making contact with the float needles pin without pressing it in. Holding the carbs vertically, gravity will always have the float needle (within it's seat) falling against the tang and would mean the needle is not closing the circuit. A closed positioned needle is the base point you use to set your float heights from.
  19. Yeah, plenty of meat left to use a helicoil there. Put a bit of wood under the front wheel so the bike will lean over on the side stand further. That way the oil will be further back from the opening. You'll always lose a tiny bit that gets trapped behind the case gasket. Nothing to worry about. Put a rag under where you're helicoiling to keep foreign matter from getting in to the engine.
  20. 1127 and 1157 oil cooled motors have the same exterior dimensions. Like twins separated at birth. Except they're not twins, they're inline fours.
  21. @spondonturbo Have a look at this similar old thread and check out it's links too. If it can be done with a water cooled 750 frame, should be a little easier with the 1072 frame. Plenty of info to digest.
  22. Do you oil your chain regularly? Could be a dry or tight spot on the chain. ???
  23. Your avatar looks fixated Sheep.
  24. What about using the spare feed on the left hand side of the sump? Nice and discreet.
