  1. Roger is good value "just don't hang ya hat on timescale thou" That said he fixed a EFE crank while i waited a couple years ago
  2. ask rupperton for a price on spacer Gary May "the gen" has extended racks for £50 on faceache i dont have a gs cover otherwise i would try a gsx rack in it "but i don't see it being different it was a very common item across the ranges at the time"
  3. I agree Looking at the spacer on the net i think you need to trim the cases "see my original post on page one" Its all down to how much effort you want to put into doing it or having a go as It took me less than 15 min to suss out how to do it including find the bit,s in the garage Seams like most things folk want a little effort bolt on solution ...
  4. The GSX basket is much stronger than the GS one ...and if you mod the inner hub you can get all the plates in the old V&H clutch kits used to get an extra plate in both clutches.....i,ll let you see if you can work out that one out for yourselves Suzuki even did it on one of the 16v motors as well
  5. I,ve done silver blocks on oil boilers for years but IMO the cam cover is a bit OTT
  6. Draw Thru may be a bit agricultural in today's age of fool injection and clever black boxes But they make a lovely noise.. S&S on Garrett T3 into a 1216 oil boiler 250 beans in round no,s
  7. if you do a search for engine mounts on the front page all will be revealed http://oldskoolsuzuki.info/
  8. Filter OEM from Robinson's 10% oss discount norm by 6 at a time Oil cheap 20/50 mineral from supermarket Plugs I bought a job lot of Suzuki Branded NGKs at a Bargain price

if you look on alphasports most of the sizes are on the parts diagrams
  11. have you looked in Frankenstein's guide on here ? http://oldskoolsuzuki.info/archives/404
  12. can you not swop the input shaft or gearbox for one from a long stroke ?
  13. that's not a gsxr 750 oil boiler engine
  14. Dazza makes a very good point there ref the springs ..most of these bikes have been messed with and the odd part swapped for good or bad. on the last turbo efe and my 1398 N/A one i ran / run a lock up with 3 stock springs and 3 inner valve springs its a 2 finger pull ....not ideal for every one but works for me on the oil boiler coil spring with "B6 cable conversion" i found out it had the wrong springs in "to strong" again right stock springs and it was better lighter..
  15. Cable run and clutch lever arrangement makes a huge difference the original lever assembly of EFE is good start
  16. Use an ET or EFE one £20 - £25 cheaper
  17. as it says yeap block is blandit bored for the bus pistons as others have said you need to do a dry build using the components you intend to use
  18. Gen 1 Bus Piston on Stock 1127cc Rod with stock head and cometic MLS gasket = 8.5:1 in round no,s in my motor
  19. Yes that don't help Personally i would stick with the EFE carbs and spend the £ elseware
  20. Fatty has 36mm carbs ... Bizarrely i have a set of RS38s with 155 mains that i have used on everything from a 1428 down to a 1216 oil boiler. and lots in between.."dyno guy said drop a jet size on that" Bandit carbs are a pain to set up on fatty and a decent Non Dyno F##ked set are hard to find ...you would be surprised how well a set of rejetted stock efe carbs and airbox will work
  21. Heatz was the oil boiler into water boiler guy and there are a few posts on the subject Eg ..
  22. Always intrigued me how he was going to achieve this bit ...given the piston would be out the block "see attached pic of a bus piston in stock block He also talked about a 998cc motor using a 750 as the base...."which is possible I read some ware" I also seam to recall a lot of broken promises and a member or two on the said board having to visit to get parts and money back after he went underground "allegedly"
