yes I rue the day I passed on the kit I was offered now....
-
this was a later Gilmer belt set up that the owner had "overdriven" the blower Many moons ago at a Florida bike night I was introduced to a guy who worked in the aircraft industry "who I was told was the guru" on these short lived kits but F##ded if I can remember his name

Finished dismemberment to-day will drop frame and other stuff at powder coaters in the week... have to write a shopping list next PS for info frame is 239mm / 240mm at the swing-arm pivot
-
As only the right hand rail unbolts and the rear mounts are all welded where there any issues actually putting the engine in ?
-
Fook that's a trot post it is then Have you found a replacement swing arm yet ?
-
do a deal on your swing-arm where are you ?
-
Yes It looks that way
-
its out and on the floor with 7 sheared exhaust bolts ... But I,m a long way away "Stratford upon Avon"

Heat Issue on an oil boiler with a big block is negligible compared to air cooled ..... Lees 1340 never had a problem and a certain poster with a silly boosted one seams to get away with it
-
You can do it in a Blandit 12 block...but liners will be thin at the bottom
-
I find pushing the carbs downwards often breaks the seal.... and make sure you have the clips completely off........
-
I,m lead to believe that the pivot is the same width as a Blandit ...But not measured it I,d be interested in the zuma arm if you decide to sell it ? I also have a 750 Air box that will be up for sale once I get the motor out
-
That’s because the port angle is different
-
True but not impossible

they did build a 1200 Inazuma so I would guess if you can find one being broken the air-box from it would solve the problem

Well after taking the carbs off dropping the bowls and taking the slides out and leaving the bodies in a tank of the cheapest coke cola for a few days ... reassembled them this afternoon and with some fresh fuel after a few spins.it fired up .. Aside from the rotten collector blowing it sounds nice and sweet....ran thru the gears ok...just the clutch mech to un seize and I,ll pull it out and decide it's fate...

yeap the ones I used had the same it just unbolts
-
The best "easier to fit" are the ones without the balance pipes between 1-2 and 3-4....as you do need to spread them slightly to fit you can use the linked ones but its harder as you need to cut and either re-weld or cut them off and blank the hole in the header
