Make sure you brace the top of the arm so it hits the subframe when you go down a bumpy road..

I'm with dupersunc, just done one using a spark plug repair kit using a Timesert.. A bit more time-consuming to get it sitting just right, but well worth the effort.

Does anyone have a pic of the genuine manual pages for a mk1 of the wiring routing from coils to headstock/headlamp? Also for very rear/tail light/indiblinkers rat's tail.. These have completely different part numbers between mk1s and mk2s.. they look the same.. anyone know if they can be interchanged (obviously with the matching rotor)? Cheers!

I'm building a mk1 with mk2 loom and electrics/clocks etc., does anyone know how to cheat the mk1 sender into being accurate with the mk2 clocks? I'm figuring there must be something resistor-based that I can do.. Failing that, open to suggestions/abuse, but it seems a shame not to have a functional LCD fuel gauge as it's there..
