Yes Both My powerscreem motors had steel baskets oooh well every days a skool day https://www.robinsonsfoundry.co.uk/shop/online-store/suzuki-parts-finder/gsx/gsx1100f/fj-fr-1988-1994.htm?vehicle_id=27#!gsx1100fclutch -

Steel Basket not prone to wear....but hub could be worn "ali" not got OEM plates in , fibres falling off plates or warped steel / s -
i would guess thats due to the different types of chain..... maybe the hyvo takes more tension

take the cover of and have a look saves a lot of guess work its a 4 spring clutch no special tools needed to investigate ... leen the bike on side stand with front wheel on a block of 4 x 2 and you wont loose any oil -
1) will most likely cost less than 2) which its self could have issues ...
-
Same as B12 ...775mm uncompressed ....a common least hassle fix on 750s is to fit the B12 legs into the 750 Lowers
-
-
If you get hold of an EFE block you could go 1230cc you would need to do some minor grinding to the top crankcase for the thicker liners ..
-
-
Not on 4V GSX you need the correct puller...measure the outside thread to find out which one
-
i assume you used the blandit pick up as well ?
-
Mr Suzuki he say 14.6 +/- 1mm
-
you cannot mix and match..the gear and basket slots have to match up.....
-
Depends on what engine you have as the primary gear ratio is different on 1074cc and 1135cc engines hence the different springs / back plate combo
-
Piece of pi55 built in a bedsit for getting to work on and USB many many sleeps ago only issue was lower crankcase mounts "i didn't bother" rest were stock plates
-
Stripped the carbs and dropped them in the fizzy tank for 15 mins Checked all jets and airways clear , checked float valves and reset floats, etc Bolted on new tap "some excellent discounts on blandit parts at Robinsons" Reassembled fresh oil "again " and all seems good.... Thanks for the replies after further investigation of the tap Mr Bean,s diagnosis was spot on fuel seeping down vac line .. As they say every days a Skool Day
-
You can still buy a new basket Sit down 1st its £448.94 + VAT
-
ape used to sell just the basket you can fit your own gear with a heavy duty back plate
-
I believe the simple answer is yes.. But to reap the benefit of the extra cc the use of the 850 top end with the larger valves and carbs would maximise the benefits It was a popular mod back in the days of old "for some reason 850 shaft motors were easy prey"

Thanks for the replies and excellent info .. Quick update "after thinking and doing remembering" coincidently today was the 1st time i have put more than a few litres of fuel in the tank and actually used the on position as opposed to res ... just been and checked the tap and it passes fuel with no vacuum in the on position but not the res position . so step one new tap on order and will remove the carbs in week i did clean them recently and checked the float valves and heights at the time and all seamed ok at the time but will revisit them the fuel lines were replaced at same time Thanks again DnD
-
ok i have just gone into garage as there was a stench of fuel to find bitz bandit sitting in a pool of petrol on further investigation its dripping from No1 exhaust and the oil level looks high so possibly in sump as well ...have removed tank and cleaned up "no i did not use a match" now i,ve done a search as i thought it had been on before but to no avail so for the blandit experts is this normally a fuel tap issue, float heights or float valves . i checked the tap and it was not left in the prime position thanks
-
i would say they are both the same...just the one on the right has the spacers build it to it
-
Well aside from thou steels being slightly larger O/Dia but the same inner i doubt suzuki reinvented the wheel when it came to the bolt spacings on the hub as the pressure plate for both has the same part no PRESSURE DISC (21462-49201)
