  1. Is there a better gsxr can to put in a bandit1200 ever one of the 1127 or one of the 750 or are they all the same? May as well ask as some one is going to. Lol
  2. Yes, last oilcooled gsxr motor was shim not tappets.
  3. Maybe we should have a most asked questions bit?
  4. Oo rrr mis Ooorrrr misses
  5. Is the piston on the clutch/sprocket cover moving OK? Rubber seal maybe f**ked
  6. The sprocket carrer on the b12 uses a ditternt sprocket, has the same 20mm spindle. The mk1 front wheel has a worm drive speedo, apart from that I don't know but I have seen it done.
  7. The gxsf front wheels are not worm drive
  8. Well go on then, tell him how to or do you not know lol. Just going to get some buns.
  9. I have the 750 38mm carbs on the GSXF Kat , 1127 motor with k@n pod fillters, GSXR1000k2 zorst and open can. I have the settings at 3 turns out on pilot sreew 144 main jets Beadle in the center, spits flames out on over run so not bang on will be putting it on a dyna before summer. A grate carb for the 1127 motor.
  10. Looks good to me, the gs750 is a great bike. Welcome to OSS, you will now start looking at putting moben running gear on it and a gs850 top end. LOL
  11. I have had both and used the carrier off a 5.5" & 4.5" both had 5 nuts it's the depft of them.
  12. RF600 use the same discs and I think callipers and maybe gsx600/750f.
  13. Why don't you both swop pushrods lol may do the job for you both.
  14. The gsx550 motors are a good motor but as people are saying the carbs are a pain, grate when they work but are fidley on the choke side, had 2 gsx550 one I dispatched for 3 years and the second I streetfighterd. Loads of bits on that site for bits.
  15. Hi and welcome to oss, nice project and now you have done the frame bracing you will see better handling you can put a cross member in the front down tubes between 2/3 down pipes. Are you going to tune the motor? One tweek is to put the ex cam in, out of a gsx750es.
  16. B12. Slightly modes to fit the GSXR1000 down pipes at the front and home made brakes to fit the frame.
  17. I know what you meaning about the can, but I like it lol and you all know what they say about project bike's, they are never finished. As to selling your b12, strip it sell all the bits you don't need (frame, bodywork etc) get frame and bodywork or like i did buy a nakerd one and build one. My Kat started life as the 750s1 with a nakerd engine forĀ£250 off that site.
  18. Cheers all, The old can was nice but didn't fit the new b12 foot peg hangers, so put this one on as had it in the shed and it fitted and makes a nice crips noise.
  19. I've put some new bits on the GSXF Kat, a set of window covers or as Mrs W says washing machen doors :) a new end can, B12 foot pegs and shock as the old zx9r one was to hard and a set of home made dog bones to jack the rear end up abit, and some 4 pots insted of te 6 pots. First pic is how it was then how it is now. And now Hope you like it LOL
  20. Hi all, just got a dot head for the gsxf kat and was thinking of putting some gsxr cams in there as well. So which are the best gsxr cams to put in? The standard gsxf cams give nice bottom/mid power, so thinking the gsxr cams will give me more mid/top end power?
  21. You will need to weld some brackets on for seat, seat lock, side panels the tank gos on just.

    600 bandit

Gsxf600/750 will fit but the 600 where 4into2 and I think the 750 where 4-2-1 so you may need to change the sump, the gsxr750/1100 and b12 will fit but the b12 and gsxr1100 will be about 30mm longer in the down pip, and they all use the same zorst gasket.
  23. He is in the aircooled bit lol
