  1. Well, it's a 1000G frame with GS1000 tuned chain drive motor
  2. I like that, and you won't like mine either - and it's not even an S !
  3. Hi all, Does anybody know if there is a cam cover that fits the GSXR1100K (1127) which has a M10 thread for the side oil way? I've seen most are either M8 or M12. Cheers.
  4. Nice one, I see the dog is already checking out the rear end for you LOL
  5. This is why I have ended up using the GS750 cover and starter clutch, as got a cover (with starter clutch) off that site saying that it was off a GS1000 but, no, it was a GS750 (but hey, it works and saves weight).
  6. Wow, will put it on the 1100 and see if it dose the job. Cheers
  7. I've seen some nice 600f with no ferring and I love the rear end/tail light from the gsx600f, not a fan of cafe racers but that's just my taste. There is a gsxr1100 motor on the net ;) at the mo needs work but cheep, somewhere in Chester I think (nowt to do with me just seen it.) just being helpfull
  8. A boring one I know ;) Can abody ID this starter motor it's off a GSXR I beleve think it's a GSXR750? The ID numbers on it are 31100-27A01 and under them are 28000-6290 from what I can tell. The other thing will it work on a GSXR1100 (1127cc) ? If I can find out what it's off and if it will not work on my GSXR1100 it will be up for sale if I can find out what it is. Cheers
  9. Sounds good. Sorry not got back to you sooner about the 1100 motor, so for info the GSXR750 carbs (38mm) have K&N pod fillters, the settings are 144 main and the pilot screws set at 3 turns out and I'm using a GSXR1000k1 zorst. A bit of persuasion is needed to make it fit but it saves a lot of wait as it's titanium and seem to still be cheap to get and you may get it to fit a 750 motor ? With it being a 4-2-1 it gives you a nice bit of mid range. The GSX750F already has 36mm carbs on as standard so you can stick with them or get a bit more power out of a set of GSXR750 38mm carbs, but I would not go for the 40mm as they are a pain to get set up. I've heard of poeple putting the GSXR750 top ends on the B6 motors and been told it gives a bigger cc as well, but I've not done this so it's hearsay at the mo. I think Streetfighters mag did a progect on this at some point?
  10. The GS750 cover will fit the GS1000, but the alt/starter clutch are smaller on the GS750 so you will need them as well, but the GS750 bits makes a big weight loss (apx 1/2 Kg) it all dose work as I'm doing it on my tuned GS1000 motor.
  11. Welcome. You may get more answers if you hello first . 1. which GSXR1100 is it? 2. yes the 520 chain can do the job if it's a 5.5" wheel, and you can move the motor over 5mm. 3. what is the front end you have? GS and GSXR front ends will swop over with no messing apart from making new lock stops, but some of the GSXR front ends are too short and you may get problems with ground clearance depending on the zorst your going to use.
  12. Like it, all the wright things done.
  13. Hi all, Can anybody tell me if the B12 foot peg hangers and the B6 ones are the same? As I'm looking at putting some on the GSXF Kat and it may make it easyer to get l/h and r/h . Thanks W.
  14. Put the APE cylinder studs in and have got APE stud nuts. The GS750 starter clutch and cover fits the 1000 motor. Have put new springs and rollers in the starter clutch, the weight difference between the 750 and 1000 starter clutch is quite a bit: the 750 one is a lot lighter (1000 is 3.1kg and the 750 2.55kg according to the kitchen scales) and uses the same spring and rollers as the 1000. Hefty...
  15. I've put a GSXR1000K1 zorst on my GSX1100F motored Kat, I made some sleves up, to make the zorst fit insted of heating and bending, and it works well. I will see if I kept the sizing for the sleves.
  16. That's what they seem to go for at the mo, the GSX1100F motors come up cheeper than the B12 motors, if you look at getting a GSX1100F motor I'd look for a motor with out carbs and get some GSXR/B12 36mm or GSXR750 38mm. As the GSX1100F only has 34mm carbs on them. I've got a GSX1100F motor with GSXR750 38mm carbs in my Kat and it gos realy well.
  17. I was told a GS500 one works, and yes it dose but I found the chain runs very close to the tyer so went back to the standard carrer.
  18. Hope you got hold of him, as I know he has got a full time job and has been hard to get hold of. I have started to build the motor new oil seals on the bottom end, a welded and balanced crank done by Debens, APE H/D crank case studs and new OEM cam chain. I've also got some APE H/D cyclinder studs to go on as well as other bits when I come to put the top end on.
  19. Yes, EBC clutchs are NO good, had some EBC plates in my GSXF Kat and with in 200 miles they where fu*ked in the way I could put the bike in 1st gear let the clutch out stand by the bike rev it to 9000rpm and the bike would not move. Get some OEM plates.
  20. Looks good, what you doing with the front mudguard?
  21. Well, with some of the bikes I somtimes build, did you expect me to be normal LOL You have to have a laugh at your self
  22. Be nice to see what the hole bike looks like when done. looking good uoto now ;)
