  1. Unfortunately most the pics appear to have fell victim to photo-bucket's changes
  2. Yes the hub from the powerscream can be used but the powerscream basket has a helical gear so no good with a straight cut crank
  3. All good stuff is this lock-up on a a coil spring or diaphram clutch ? interested in set up
  4. You need a EFE crank and rods pistons are 20mm pin
  5. 1052 basket is no good for a bandit it has 73T ...bandit has 72T..............
  6. The hardest part to find is the clutch basket as its no longer available from Suzuki and are like finding rocking horse poo 2nd hand.... And as its a oil boiler your in the wrong section ..... Good Luck in your quest ............ when you have made 50 useful posts you will gain access to the market place
  7. Purge the tank by running a pipe from a car exhaust into it for 10 mins and it will be fine....
  8. Close Yeap the squeeze was spot on Ian not one burnt part loads of smashed bits thou LOL But part of that million year old engine incudes a shift drum with a design that asks it to turn further to engage 4th than any other gear.... unnoticed wear in the £30 shift cylinder and minor wear on the pin....is all it took to miss 4th............the jockey cut a good light and is much better on the shift light than tyrannosaur's me....... Still the head was ok after some blue glue and new valves crank donated a couple of webs and a SC Gear to the rebuild cases cleaned up 2nd hand liner and gsxr piston and it still lives ...
  9. No Rev limiter was and does still work.....but it don't stop the carnage .. it had 75 shot in from the get go missed engaging 4th at about 140 mph "no logger but going on previous tickets" motor hit the limiter valves kissed ,piston smashed rod bent liner smashed motor stopped dead ....only noticed the rotor when the motor was fully stripped once back home.............Oil Boliers are so much stronger for ££
  10. The missed gear two dropped valves and 75 shot of gas has a lot to answer for Rev Limiter My ass that stopped sweet FA .
  11. Make Them Strong then they twist the end of the crank........ ...
  12. 1135 Motor had the dowel from the factory .. earlier bikes did not....as Matt found out its the same length as the hole so I drop a ball bearing in first to stop it bottoming out.......... http://www.robinsonsfoundry.co.uk/shop/online-store/suzuki-parts-finder/gsx/gsx1100efe/e-f-g-1984-1986.htm?vehicle_id=25#!gsx1100efestarterclutch I use the stock bolts or 13,8 Cap Screws and some blue glue
  13. I innocently stuck a No Plate on the outlaw frame when I had the turbo motor in it did about 100 miles on the road and the Bulldog that year .....just stuck it in 2nd gear and slipped the clutch ....3rd was to tall TBH.......
  14. Been there done that............... I recall it had a 5 speed in it when Garry had it.....and he must have had a job lot of red wire too ............
  15. Nice Headers Shame about the Cam Cover Gasket.............
  16. a pic from the side with both seats would be good.... but bent or twisted grab rails don't help ...have you got all the right spacers and washers under the front mount...check the rear mount brackets are not bent... and its not unusual for the rear frame rails to be slightly bent the seat panels have rubber covers on the tabs when new but they don't make much odds ...
  17. Foook in hell Matt long time no hear....you must either like the middle east or the $$$ ...you,ve been there a few years now a friend of mine owned that Kat for some time it had some nice bits on it and in it... if I recall ResCogs bought it off him via Eblag it then changed hands a few times quite quickly and ending up collecting dust at Motorcycles Unlimited in Perivale where you acquired it from..... I,m guessing that pic was taken at the Dyno day at the old BigCC shop that was part of the old 200mph forums 3 day event ...Dyno , flyers and then 1/4s at the Pod....I only did the 1/4s on me Blue EFE I,m sure the OSS grapevine will find its current location given a little time...... if you can narrow down the year it was in Streetfighters I can look to see if i have the mag Clive
  18. I,ve not had this one on the road ..but I used my old EFE draw Thru on the road a lot....Similar Set up turbo wise motor but with a HSR 42 Carb.... No problem on road and sounds sooo much better than a Blow Thru
  19. You don't need to at Robinsons just enter part no's on the quick order pad............
  20. just because Robinsons don't list the bike on there site ....does not mean they cannot supply the parts you can look up the part no's on Alpha-sports then order from Robinsons to get discount..... Simples And we like pics
  21. Yeap I ran this on the Street.. Most of the issues have already been pointed out ...it was fine when on the move on open roads .but as soon as you get stuck in traffic "even filtering thru it" the temp goes of the Richter scale .. ."lack of any air flow and a solid block" ......it also used to ooooze heat once you parked up....and needed to be left for 30min before starting again on the plus side it was a real hoot to ride....and worth the agro......would I do it again 50 / 50 ..... Tom "Havoc" has proved a big block with a turbo can be a daily ride and euro tourer...you just have to be prepared to suffer some pain for the huge grin factor it give I am in the process of doing a 1397 in a re-linered stock block that should be less agro on the road.... PS on the subject of other pistons you can do a 1260 in a stock EFE block using GSXR 1100 L . M piston's and decking the block about 2 mm
  22. As Ian said the GSXR motor is loads cheaper to prep and can be made do 250 - 300 BHP with some decent slugs.....
  23. My bike runs 1100 suspension geometry and parts "Ok its a modified bandit arm" .. but the linkage is 1100 K , L ....your bottom link is bandit "which is making the geometry wrong" hence the stiff suspension..... pics are 2 years old but I now run adjustable links "dog bones" so I can adjust the ride height between street and strip I did not mean your links foul the spring ..but the bottom of the spring carrier on your shock looks like it may foul the bottom suspension link "the bandit bit" a different shock or link lengths will not fix the problem IMHO.................. for suspension to work properly the basic geometry has to be right ...............
