  1. yes that site www.motorcyclespareparts.eu is very usefull. Glad you got it sorted.
  2. Hi and welcome to group therapy. There is no oil seal on that side of the crankshaft. It's supposed to be oily around the ignition pick-up.
  3. and if you write to Hans, say Hi from me.
  4. generator removal is also an engine out job I guess? Nice bike.
  5. ZX7R should fit This is a replica unit on a mate's 1100M
  6. I find the title of your thread misleading. It implies that sometimes N/A is enough.
  7. having riden most twins (TLS/R, VTR SP1 and SP2, RSV1000R, 996SP, probably forgot a few) the 996 was the most entertaining, closely followed by the TLS. All the others were not really exciting.
  8. actually a Duc 916 is not really that exciting. It's the SP and SPS versions (also 748) that make my willy tingle.
  9. yes in my experience FP is better. Checked float height?
  10. if you were really good the pics and data logs would already have been posted here
  11. Ask seller to post a pic, if they have 8 cams each, they are for a shim head. Older ones have 4 cams each.
  12. @B2BC might have what you want
  13. externally they are basically the same (different sump pan, and the newer one has 5mm taller cilinders if I'm not mistaken), internally they are quite different. New one has longer stroke, one more cc (749 vs 748), smaller valves, softer camshafts, and probably clutch and gearbox differences. @Del might join in and tell you more.
