  1. remove tank + fairings, remove carbs, intake rubbers and generator. Gives just enough space to remove the airbox from the left side.
  2. Hi and welcome. Don't think anyone has ever done this swap, why don't you just try it and find out.
  3. the crankcase breather goes from the rocker cover to the air filter box. If you use the airbox just leave it as it is, if you use separate filters (K&N RU 2922 for example) the hose can go into a small can or bottle or whatever (just don't seal it, it should breathe) or to a small separate filter. Powerjets came blocked off from the factory in all markets. Mine are also still zero.
  4. Use the 38mm intake rubbers on the B12 engine. They might be "offset" a bit, but as long as they seal correctly it's no problem. If you block one fuel supply then those 2 carbs won't get any fuel. Use a T-piece between the two fuel lines and connect that to the fuel tap. The 38mm carbs have two float bowl vents (thinner rubber pipes between 1&2 and 3&4), route them over the air filter somewhere near the battery. Leave the ends open. The fat pipe between 2&3 can go to the plastic box bolted on the breather cover if you mean the crankcase breather, it depends on the air filter setup you have. As for jetting, it depends on the exhaust and air filter and camshafts and ignition timing and more stuff, main jets should be around 150, start from there. Mine has only bigger main jets, pilot screws turned out a bit more, everything else standard 750 settings.
  5. chain guard has no influence. The seals 7 do however. The different spacers (6,1 and 6,2) are different thickness, 1,5mm and 1mm, you have to use whichever are needed.
  6. Manual is translated from Japanese into Spanish and then English by an Italian probably. I would trust the bike itself more.
  7. should have asked yesterday, I had one at work. D'oh.gif
  8. About my B12-engined EFE Saulius said: "it's like a motorised sofa".
  9. Saulius got it running correctly now. Today we went for a little ride, around 300km in total (glorious hot and sunny weather here) and after swapping bikes I can confirm:
  10. you'll not be at the Dutch OSS thing at Rene's place in August?
  11. hi and welcome I'm new to the site. Funny name that.
  12. because it was probably the only thing my wife doesn't know better.
  13. just googled "gsx1100g side panel". No PRI but OFF position, which makes sence since it has a fuel pump.
  14. Usually ON is down, RES is up and PRI is sideways. And yes it has a 22l fuel tank.
  15. Ah ok. Anyway we should meet in real life one day this summer and talk boost and stuff.
  16. I had an '88 750 with B12 engine and 36mm carbs, had no issues. Mate had similar bike but with Dothead, carb tops hit the frame rails and fuel tap. @fatblokeonbandit will be along soon I guess.
  17. make sure the float needles and O-rings are not leaking, floats are moving freely and fuel is clean, should be OK then.
  18. He visited me today at work while "test-riding". Connected the carbs on the plenum, and everything else boost-related on the tyre valve things in the intake rubbers, and it rides perfectly now, instant boost when opening the throttle and the fuel pressure rises emmediately with the boost. Main jets are slightly too small (127,5 now) but he will change them. if it should be like this then what is the use of the pitot tube? On Saulius' bike it is now half way between the compressor and the plenum. Would it be better closer to the carbs, for more accurate boost signal?
  19. obviously one or more of the float needles is letting fuel through with the engine running. Have you used original Suzuki needles and O-rings? Because in this case really buy cheap = buy twice.
  20. Saulius called me this afternoon, he said he connected something to the plenum and not on the Pitot tube, and everything is as expected now (running very lean on #105 main jets). Sorry I'm not more specific but I had Saulius on the phone, while answering a customer's questions in the shop, and yet another phone call coming in.
