  1. GS1000 would not be much higher/lower I guess.
  2. just checked the EFE parked on the centerstand, 70cm is halfway the carb venturis.
  3. salt water or not? If yes, don't walk away, but run.
  4. and downdraugt carbs on the SRAD. Won't work.
  5. My wife has a scanner at work. More to come tomorrow
  6. don't know about copyrights and stuff, but I thought this might be interesting. Yeah I know I don't have a scanner. An issue of PB from May 1991.
  7. AFAIK the slide-carb models had plain brake discs, not slotted. It looks a bit like a thrown-together-from-different-models bike. But it has all the signs of not being an S.
  8. Hi, Can anybody tell me which wires go where on the CDI plugs from a 2nd gen. Bandit 600? A pic of the plugs (with all the wire colours clearly visible) would be excellent. I have the original Suzuki workshop manual but it's of no help. Thanks - CC
  9. leave it outside in the sun for a few hours, the plastic becomes softer. That is you need sunshine for that. So it's not working in the UK probably.
  10. yes that's a 1000E. And it's far from original so not worth very much to normal people. We on OSS on the other hand know how to appreciate dinosaurs like this.
  11. between 13,5V and 14,5V is OK. The closer to 14,5V the better.
  12. Some Yamahaha's (early R1 and FZR1000 for example) have the coils mounted in plastic, no earth on the frame.
  13. now please show us yours @SK79

  15. And welcome on OSS by the way.
  16. I had a 160 on a 5,5" rim. Depending on tyre manufacturer a 170 might fit.
  17. Anyway according to the parts diagram the middle main jets are 125, outer main jets are not specified but should be not much different. Pilot jets are 12,5. It could also be over-fueling if the float needles are leaking or the float levels not set correctly.
  18. to really rule out the ignition bit, swap coils + leads + plugs from 1&4 with 2&3.
  19. maybe @yann7/11r can help us out?
  20. Hi and welcome. As far as I know only difference is the 100hp power output on the French market.
  21. Yes I use standard 750 needles. But the American needles and jets are different from the European ones. The 155 jets you have are not from Dynojet, because they do not exist, DJ makes jets in 2-size increments. There is 154 and 156 but not 155. As far as I know Factory Pro make a jet kit for 38mm carbs on an 1127 engine, might also work on a B12. Or maybe they already have a jet kit specifically for the B12. Worth asking them.
  22. I put 38's on my B12 engine because it was all I had at the time (36's were on a friend's bike). And I found out that it ran pretty well with the 38's so I kept them. No very big difference but still noticeably faster. Now by the way the 38's are on my Powerscreen engine and the B12 has its 36's again.
