You may get some abuse about b12 Zorst, filters, cams, bigbore,
  2. Looks like a USA gsx750/1100 et tank in the pic, it all depends on what look you want and how much work? Without to much work gs550e or custom, gsx550 gs550 katana gs650 katana. I have before put a gsx400 tank on a 550 made the bike look bigger. I've have put a gpz900 tank on a 550. It all depends on what if any panels you want to put on.
  3. Never came across a aftermarket headlight that gives a good night time beam, so I would look a ever a gsx1400/bandit or something of a bit latter like b-king or maybe MT ??
  4. I was running a gsx1100f sprocket carrier on one of my bikes (gsx750et with 5.5" gsxr rear wheel) I still have the carrier in the shed (long story) will have a look tomorrow for you, but I think it was 5 bolt as well.
  5. Dose anybody know how long the clutch push rod are on B12 mk1? Engine I have dose not have one with it, I have some stainless steel m6 bar so was going to make one just need to know the length. Cheers.

    Im back

Welcome back, just picked up on the build. Looking good.
  7. The 3 spoke 18" are off the last gsxr1100j slabside, you can get a 17" gsxr 750/1100k front wheel or I believe the gsx750f front wheel gos strate in just change discs. I do have a 17" gsxr front wheel in the shed I can size up spindle bearings and hub size if you want? Mite help and if you want it can do a OSS discount
  8. I think the 1052 motors had two less teeth on the crank so the 1052 clutch basket won't fit the 1127, but you can swop baskets to get it to work.
  9. I put a post in the general bit with the heading of street fighter mag b12 clutch, and someone very helpful posted a link to a step by step how to for the gsxr and b12. Give it a good read well worth it. Only parts of the 1052 clutch fits the 1127
  10. Cheers for that, going to replace the hole clutch as the one in the motor is f#cked, so when I have a clutch I will pm you. Cheers again.
  11. PS post this in ever oilcooled bit or general for your first posts, or maybe the sit police will move it for you
  12. May be a daft question. B12 H/D clutch spring, there seem to be lots of makes out there. So which are the best and/or which should I avoid?
  13. Not 100% what has gone on in the clutch/gear box, but one of the gear cogs has ground out on the top crank case and then taken out the hole clutch? Bearing look and feel good, but have put a good box in there anyway, so just need to replace the hole clutch.
  14. I'm running 38mm on my 1127 with 150 mains, 3 1/2 turns out on the pilots and dropped the needles to the 2nd groove from the top.
  15. OK clutch basket is f#ck, so can get a gsxr1100 91/92 or a gsxr750k2 which I have read somewhere else fit strate on? And is cheaper Any advice?
  16. I have used a gsx750et atu pickup and black box (CDI) on my GS1000 with no problems.
  17. If you're getting a spark and the can timing is right, 1. Are you getting fuel to the head? 2. Just try swooping 1/4 and 2/3 leads around, just I has a Dyna S on a GS1000 and found the wires where wrongly wired from Dyna and 1/4 was relay 2/3. Worth a go.
  18. Cheers mate, Got off that site a 97 gear box last night, but as the bottom end needs dropping going to strip the hole motor (as unknown mileage) put a new can chain etc, put a DOT head on and a set of gsxr1100k cams. Be looking at it properly next week when off work and see why the clutch shaft has stripped??
  19. Cheers, Firstly need to sort out his gear box, then have a look at the clutch as the main shaft on the clutch side has gone need to sort that and try and find out why this has happened, don't know if the last owner has done something?
  20. Cheers all. I heard the 1052 gsxr clutch's are the best and apart from as El-Retardo say, gsxr 750 2007 clutch's fit (never new that) which gsxr 1100 clutch or are any OK ?
  21. Have put both in before, the 750 is good fun and when I can get round to it I am doing a 550 kat with a b6 motor, and when I say get round to it because I started it about 2 years ago but other projects kept pushing in
  22. Mate has a mk1 b12 motor which has a fu#ked gear box shaft and the steel clutch plates etc are getting past there best. So is it best to get a standard gear box and clutch parts or is there a better options? Made gsxr parts? Thanks.
