  1. Hi all, Is there any other cush drive rubbers fit a gsxr1100 slingshot rear wheel, or are Suzuki cush drive rubbers all the same??? Cheers
  2. May be wrong but with the ( looks like) 18" front wheel one of the early 1980 one as I think when to 16" latter? Or was that just the 750 version
  3. Welcome back to OSS Russ. What's the plans? If you need any help I'm just over the hills in the peak
  4. Early gsx600f and some gsx750f has 4/2 zorst and the headers will bolt strate on just need to make brackets up for your end cans.
  5. Same as gsx. Nice introduction from yourself to the site
  6. If your looking at going bigger than the 650cc I'd look at getting the crank checked out, when your their you may as well put a new can chain in and at least HD clutch springs. But if your just going for the 650 top end just check for any play in the crank and if non, away you go. Tuning a old motor is one of them, how far do you or you bank want to go you can keep going and going
  7. Cheers all, I will keep NY eyes open.
  8. Yes, I have been told this, but it's not the headlight itself I need but the chrome surround that holds the headlight into the cowling as these seem to be hard to get, was thinking if I could make a kwak gt one fit, but don't know if they are the same size? Was going to fit one of the projector mr2 headlight in the chrome surround, but need to get one first
  9. Dose anybody know which other chrome headlamp surround/headlight will fit in the plastic cowling? As I don't have a headlight but would like to keep the standard cowling. Thanks
  10. Have a look at what size the gudgeon pins are between the 650 and 750 but, I think the 750 are bigger, also have a look at kwak z650/750 as I did a 1148cc big bore on one of my gs1000 using gpz1100 pistons, so you may find something similar. Just think on your playing with a 30+ year old motor and 30+ year old crank, so putting to much power in the top end and not looking at doing the bottom end may end up with a big bang in the bad way

    Gsx1100f

    Basically Suzuki's 80's to 90's sports tourers.

    Gsx1100f

Depends on what you want it for? Good 1127 motor 33mm carbs and softer cams for more bottom end/ mid range power. Frames are heavy, 16" front wheel and I think 17" rear but only with a 150 tyre. I have the f motor in my Kat but with gsxr38mm carbs k&n filters and a gsxr1000 k1 zorst and it gos like sink ( in a good way).
  13. Cheers mate, now looking foreword to summer doing some fettling on Bears bike then got to get round to doing the 550/6 kat that I started about 3 years ago then want to build a b12 powered gsxet and inbtween that the house is up for sale, so looks like I'm going to be buzzy

    Rear disc

A bit of research and it seems that gsxr, gsxf, and bandit all have a 240mm disc.
  15. Just been in the shed and having a sort out and came across some gs550 gaskets and points cover. If you need/want them let me know and I will send them to you.

    Rear disc

Hi all, collecting parts for the next build, I have a rear disc (haven't measured it yet) I think it's gsxr but, 1. Don't know which model? 2. May even be gsxf So I can get the right calliper hanger, is there any difference between models and/ or gsxf 750/1100. The rear wheel I have is a 1990 gsxr1100l
  17. It's all U.S stuff but good for Ted stuff
  18. PS, there was quite a bit of info on gs resources site.
  19. Yes, I have done this you need pistons and barrels off the 650 head off the 650 (kat one is best but hard to get but standard 650 is good) 650 cams or you can use the 550 one, one off the 550 cams are better than the 650, I think the exhaust. You need to use the 550 can sprockets which ever cams you use as cam chains are different (or the I did was but I was using the Early 550 slide carb motor). You may need to open the crank case up where the barrels sit but not by much? Apx 1-2mm B6/gsx6f carbs fit the gs650 head the latter gsx600f carbs where 33mm instead of 32mm on the b6 the 550 and 650 zorsts will fit never tried it but the b6/gsx600f zorsts may fit the GS? More oppositions? And away you go
