  1. Yeah nobody retains the 200 tyre on bikes that are fitted with them standard. When i got my ZX12 that i dailyed for a year the rear tyre was shot. It went through several but i always used a 180. Did look the business from behind with the stocker though
  2. Aren't the 40s notoriously difficult to setup anyway ?
  3. What do you call "their recommended settings" ? Sounds like you could do with much larger main jets
  4. Yeah off the top of my head shouldn't there be a couple of mm left between the tabs upon decent final tightening ?
  5. 750 header is not as tall as the Bandit one, problably why you are experiencing contact An 1100 4-2-1 should work fine with the B12 sump
  6. I've always heard good things about CB500s
  7. Yeah it is the theory, it doesn't take in account wind resistance and all the real life factors when you're on the road. That said the 16 43 i'm using is with my 1216/cams/head/RS full package so it has more than enough to pull the bike
  8. Nope that would be 11000, i wrote the lowest end of the graph i asked for on GC (5000-11000)
  9. RS36 and RS38 are still to this day produced with the same OD, and same OD as BST36 carbs. That should help work out what rubbers are needed.
  10. Primaries : GSXR 750 : 1.74 GSXF 1100 : 1.523 GSXR 1127 : 1.56

    More et mods

Could have used a WC part and just had a square section channel welded to the arm

You can also use an alloy GSXR caliper arm by fitting it to the center stand mount on the frame
  13. It's fast enough as it is. Spend your money on K generation GSXR forks, rims, brakes and a decent shock You may find the performance of the bike will be greatly improved for less money than cams, pistons, bearings etc
  14. The initial question wasn't "is it good to use a 6 speed box in an 1127". And the first response gave the required info anyway
  15. I didn't see@Damienga15demention using a 750 double R box ? Info found for normal readily available 750R box is : 2.76, 2.06, 1.64, 1.4, 1.22, 1.09 (Same on all OC 750s and teapots) Seems logical to need taller gearing for use in the 11 ? Anyways, i actually do run a 1216 with 6 speed in real life. I use it daily with 16x43 sprockets and gives ample and correct speed range without wheelying all the way up the gearbox like it would with the factory 15x48 setup. (Which could be cool, if you don't look at fuel prices these days )
  16. 15x45 stock bandit 12 15x48 stock GSXR 11 As per JT Sprockets
  17. With a different gearbox ? Not sure
  18. At 11000 rpm in top gear, 1127 with 750 6 speed gearing theoretically gives : 15x51 : 192 km/h 15x45 : 216 km/h 16x54 : 205 km/h 16x43 : 257 km/h At 5000 rpm, stock 1127 stock sprockets 15x48 : 259 km/h
  19. 16x43 i'm running on mine. That was sorted out via www.gearingcommander.com and their online configurator. It gives identical top speed result on a GSXR 1127 with GSXR 750 gear ratios
  20. It is definitely over the top of any legal/MOT/roadside police check requirement It is impossible for what is basically a straight pipe, to be "not over the top" And anyway, in the event that happens, police will always say it's too loud and fuck people for it
  21. It was the pencil can i had on my katana It is obnoxiously loud in stock form, i added a baffler to help somewhat. I only chose it because of the tube arrangement, the SRAD fork lowering the bike quite a lot, it needed road clearance somehow. Welds look Bad, if it were stainless it would be fine, but italian chrome will not last, thats just a fact
