  1. Has the search engine come up with any tips ?
  2. Keyword was cost effective. BST34s are cheap and work well But lets put it another way. Sell those VM before butchering them and put a set of Mikuni RS34
  3. More cost effective to fit some BST34 off the 11 or teapot
  4. Indeed, but this was mid nineties on iffy carbs. Plus how could it drop 30 Nm on the following bikes ? Thats a considerable difference for seemingly not that many changes ?
  5. Taken from the 1996 french brochure : That equates to 90 ft lb But that does seem weird
  6. Total length off a USD GSXR 1100 fork
  7. 271 mm on the one i have
  8. No idea, info i've come across is that mk1 had 89.9 ft lb @ 4500rpm (which seems phenomenal) and for pollution reasons it was dropped in 2000 to 65 ft lb I don't see how that info is realistic ? i checked part numbers, intake cam is the same for mk1 and mk2 Exhaust cam and ECU are specific to mk1, but i can't see how that can hide 30 ft lb alone ?
  9. I've seen contradictory info regarding the torque figures of the 12 According to some internet banter, and a potentially dubious online spec sheet or two, the first couple of years it was supposed to have a much higher max torque figure ? I do not see how that is possible, but does anyone have solid info on this topic ? As well as i have never seen someone advise another : get a "that year" lump coz it's the real good one to use" Solely a curiosity motivated question
  10. Right. More or less the feeling i had about it but indeed i couldn't have worded it like that. Thanks
  11. Ah damn, i think its a case of copy paste, can't seem to get it to be clickable As for Flats and turbos inded i noted i had never seen any in any setup, whats the theory behind it ? The vacuum system on CVs is mandatory ? Asking out of technical curiosity
  12. Also, maybe everyone knows this page, but i found this the other day, which is on topic of this topic : http://www.spartgsxrspecials.com/turbo%20do%20and%20dont.htm Seems interesting for info ?
  13. RS flatslides and turbo or not ?
  14. Clothing industry uses pressed eyelets. It looks like you can get equivalent stuff in small diameters that could be of use from sewing suppliers
  15. YSS do an insane looking aftermarket USD and RWU radial braked fork though
  16. The EFE has the gear sensor for full gearbox as you know. Other than that, if you just want a neutral switch, any GSX/GSXR OC or WC/Bandit/GSXF will work The EFE full box ones are NLA, and the ones you see online (Aliexpress among others) are smaller in diameter designed for bikes like the GN (i think) You can however convert a simple Neutral switch to the 5 speed equivalent : The ball leaves a mark of each gear position in the plastic plate Drill to 1.5 : Make a countersunk recess Get you lengths of wires, strip the end Slip them through the holds and use solder to fix them in. You can use a good sealant on the other side to seal it up
  17. Because of the downdraught carbs and where every component had to be in relation to one another (bottom level of tank, petcock position to carbs etc) meant that the bike couldn't go with the usual gravity fed system
  18. It will need a return line to the tank only if you are pumping much more than the carbs need. Like @Gixer1460said those basic motorcycle pumps function with a cut off system.
  19. RF900 also uses a pump. It's not down to the type of carburetor used, just make sure pressure rating is right. And on a set up like the one you mention you wouldn't need a return line to the tank and FPR
  20. There are no colour refs i know of ? It's basically a one off fabric, designed to replicate the shark skin effect material used on Katana sword handles The seam was hot welted together, no stitching needed for assembly of the two colours, and the effect is that soft but dry/rough peach skin effect.
  21. Nobody has really managed to find the correct type of fabric, your best bet will be yacht grade alcantara. I found a supplier, who had very close colour match too, but they discontinued those refs
