  1. What feature of the Busa pistons lowers the CR over R pistons ? Not that it's down to pistons alone but isn't the Busa CR higher than the GSXR 1100 ?
  2. GSXF, GSXR K/L or M/N ?
  3. I had the standard factory "duplex" type header on my '97 F like so : Never seen one like in your picture though, but i didn't delve into teapottery that much, i just ran it for a year and sold on
  4. "Murray’s Carburetor Kits come Pre-Jetted, Synced and ready to Plug and Play" Of course they don't
  5. Oh yeah sorry. Dunno why i got mixed up. But yeah if you have the lock, I have a mate who is restoring an L back to original and it's got hacked around a bit by a stevie wonder mechanic
  6. I got a replica one from AliExpress thats got the correct fittings etc. Probably same provenance for anything on sale on eBail, so might as well cut out the middleman
  7. If you have a seat lock and key from that do let me know. Also, if you still wanted that kat mudguard...
  8. Gsx engine is a nicer looking engine by far, and also fits in the frame properly
  9. Whats the point of faffing around putting a B12 in a GSX ? I get if you go 1100 GSXR in an E, but the air cooled 11 compared to the bandit ?
  10. You can cut down an old socket to make the tool if you don't want to wait or spend on a tool that you'll not be using much.
  11. Oops that spacer would need one gouge and one tit
  12. I need to get my B12 and G14 at an identical TDC spot to compare, but i'm thinking that if i end up using a B12 ECU for simpler wiring and engine management for carbs, maybe i can use the B12 rotor and make a double notched spacer (i would need a spacer anyway to make up for the shoulder height difference) that could adjust the B12 rotor to the Ignition setting of the G14 ?
  13. So, let's look at what's what. First off, the ignition pick up system. Unfortunately, not quite so straightforward as i had thought. - The ignition plates are indentical and interchangeable. - The Ignition rotors are interchangeable, in terms of diameter and size of the notch that slots into the crank. However. The 1400 for some reason has a much higher shoulder : So basically, putting a normal oilcooled item makes it hit the Ignition plate. Also, and although i haven't done any TDC setting or what, the notch in the rotor is angled differently in regards to the T spot Not sure in what direction that affects things, but something is going on there in terms of timing
  14. Mmm yeah, got it out of the car boot on my own, it was heavy I'll try to get a real figure though
  15. Right. These questions will soon find answers (and probably more questions)
  16. I do 45 mpg average on long trips with above said set up. Again, i don't track it, it just gets some occasional thrashing
  17. I have a cammed and ported 1216 with RS38. That was fine with the slingshot tap. I no longer use a tank fitted tap, because nothing seems worth the hassle. The carbs are fed via a 10/8mm ID fuel hose system and are fine Bear in mind i don't track it
  18. Thats an ordinary silver metallic with green and gold decals. Modern photos of same thing here : https://moto-station.com/moto-revue/essai/retro-suzuki-gsx-1100-1979-1981 I think what @imagois talking about is just a yellowed out vintage photo of the same thing ?
  19. TL has 32mm axle ? Cant you find compatible bearings to fit the rim to the 20mm bandit spindle ?
  20. Yes it is a perfectly good and compact unit. I used mine daily, swapped over through my katana, gsx1100, teapot 750 and ZX12R. Thats around 5-6 years of use, through all weather and seasons, cold winter starts etc and never let me down As with any lithium battery (and even lead batteries benefit from it), if it is cold in the morning, you need to put headlights on full beam for a minute of so, to heat up the battery and get it cranking fine
  21. Just remembered that I have used these in the pas for GSX/GSXR Very good durable quality and good cranking capacity, but you have to like the Anderson clip connector system https://www.masolise.com/batterie-de-demarrage/22-batterie-de-demarrage-lithium-cca240-12v.html 110x55x75 makes it quite small, and going by the measures you gave it should actually fit the tray you've got ?
  22. Was the question "whats the cheapest battery ?"
  23. https://www.antigravitybatteries-uk.co.uk/small-case-type-batteries/antigravity-battery-ag1601.html They provide the smallest batteries on the market i think ?
  24. RF wheels are the same as Bandit wheels, i'm guessing gen 1 bandit could do ?
