  1. I would think you have a bad starter relay (high internal resistance)
  2. I've read somewhere that the 1100F generator has higher output than other oilcooled ones, Suzuki thought when desinging the bike that tourers would be equiped with accessories like heated grips and stuff. But still other ones will fit and work once you swap the driven gear over.
  3. yes slingy has clutch operation on right side. Short stroke and clutch operation on left side means most probably Teapot (GSX-F) engine. Then it should be black and have a dothead as well.
  4. short stroke = 748cc, long stroke = 749cc. Is stamped on the left side of the barrels. Also short stroke has smooth clutch cover, long stroke has a nipple in the middle.

  8. I once saw a mate doing it with the front end of the bike suspended from the roof of the garage, so the bike was almost vertical. He said "gravity helps me install the exhaust collets". Takes some preparation but installing the exhaust is easy like that.
  9. I thought Mk1 had curved spokes and Mk2 had straight spokes? The Mk1 has a speedo drive on the front wheel, the Mk2 doesn't.

  11. it should work. I have an EFE tacho working on a GSX-R750 loom, so I guess everything's pretty much compatible.
  12. just had a look in the issue of PB (february 1996) and that ZZR1100 is nowhere to be seen. Why's that?
  13. tailpiece/taillight of the M is also heavier than the L, and the seats are wider. The M is the best looking GSX-R but for riding I prefer the 750L.
  14. if it was me I would clean it up/detail it and bring it back to original, it all seems to be there from those pics. This is IMO the best looking GSX-R in the best colour combination.

  16. no they're not. Look like K/L 1100 to me. The M has mirrors with fixed glass in the housing, not adjustable like these

  18. GSX-R went watercooled from 1992 (750) or 1993 (1100 and 750 in Murica). Teapot (GSX-F) has always been oilcooled. To make it more complicated, GSX-R 250, 400, 600 and 1000 have always been watercooled.

  21. GSX1100G (basically same engine and carbs as B12) has a fuel pump from the factory
