  1. that old one looks nice, with all the right bits. Welcome back home.
  2. 1992 subframe is wider than '88, so I guess not.
  3. 99% is not enough actually I also thought about this ignition stuff last week but I assumed the rev limiter on a 400 would be 14000 or 15000 or thereabouts so did not think about it further. But since Blubber mentionned it's 13000, it seems very plausible (although he too seems not 100% sure about the number).
  4. in general more power = more heat. A turbo is just another way to make more heat.
  5. stock revcounter, yes. CBF going throught the whole thread, but if Gringo has an aftermarket tacho he might not have noticed when programming it. This could explain the 6,5K limiter (assuming of course the pulse generator is somehow not of the correct type).
  6. why, there's any other bike in the video?
  7. english flag, then choose "divisions".
  8. On the french site, there is a British flag on the top right, to choose English language. http://www.proclassic.fr/articles.php?lng=en&pg=4038& and then choose "2018 regulation" http://www.proclassic.fr/file/2018_reglement_uk.pdf
  9. no as in "there is no difference" or no as in "it does not fit"?
  10. welcome to the world of OldSkool Suzuki's
  11. do these carbs have the plastic float holder things? If yes there should be a small jet pressed in each of them, this is for the choke circuit. They tend to come loose and fall out, which makes cold starting a bitch.
  12. make sure the valve clearances are set correctly before balancing the carbs
  13. ah... I was wondering, 750 frame with badly-fitting tank/fairing. Now it's clear Nicely done. Needs gold wheels for that sleeper look.
  14. I thought the 1100 motor phisically does not fit in the 750's frame? Only 1100cc pop-up Kat I know of/have seen pics of is an 1100 EFE frame with pop-up bodywork on it.
  15. that's funny, I measured my '88 750 and a mates '91 1100 some 17 years ago and found out that my 750 was smaller (and decided to build a 7/11). Happy to be proved wrong though
  16. later W frames also have the extra engine mounts on each side of the head.
  17. 38's are definitely bigger than 36's. And 750 '88 is the smallest Slingy, 750 '90 and '91 is same size as 1100.
  18. @bigpantsbefore spending money on another generator, check this out: http://oldskoolsuzuki.info/archives/400
  19. Hi and welcome Jussi. 1991 model is M, not L. And it's oilcooled.
