  1. i have fitted an EZ/ED gear switch in the B12 lump, a re-pin in the plug and it all works on the EFE clocks. (at least it did before the crash )
  2. the first 8 looks more like a B to me. I've said it before, if you have glasses, use them
  3. I think that would work as well, if you can make 100% sure that all the slide holes are drilled the same depth. By the way welcome back Minipower
  4. Sooooooo..... who won the bullshit award?
  5. completely different bikes. '92 is the last oilcooled, '93 is watercooled. Only very few parts are compatible.
  6. oilcooled and watercooled engines are completely different. Some answers: 1- no. 2- all engine moints will need to be made, exhaust headers might hit frame downtubes. 3- no space for any stock airbox. 4- won't fit. 5- probably. 6- don't know 7- don't know 8- most likely yes. So it's a lot of work, not impossible (some people on here have done it, like @homer) but not something you'd do in a day. If I were you I'd look for another W engine, 1100 preferably.
  7. that, and getting the bike registered
  8. heal well dude. Just had an off myself a few weeks ago. No stitches, but a few broken bones.
  9. Welcome. Nice bike. tough crowd. Not a brown seat and still not happy
  10. that's how I do it turning it off can be done with anything that remotely fits, I use a screwdriver, sometimes peoples reactions are funny
  11. basically it is. '89 and later 1100 and 1200 have a 12mm bottom rear engine mount bolt, pre-'89 1100 (and all 750 and 600's) have a 10mm one. Other issue might be exhaust routing, a sump pan swap will sort that out. And the '89-on has a single ignition pick-up. Again this is easy to swap.
  12. the plastics for the M models are the same, wether 750 or 1100. Many750s don't have a grabrail though. Tail light and mudguard and bracket are different. Same story for older Slingshots (J/K/L), 750 and 1100 plastics and seats are the same except for grabrail holes.
  13. i suppose you mean "valve clearances"?
  14. what was wrong with the original sidepanels? Cable-ties don't add hipster points, you know
  15. thanks for all the advise. I'll give it a good clean and go from there, just wanted to know if it's fixable, which it appears to be.
  16. that's what i mean, thanks for reminding me
  17. don't really know how to say it but petol is much more "liquid" than water. You'll get a false reading. Also the density is different so the float er... floats higher on water than on petrol.
  18. my B12's head. I know the cover is toast, but does it look like the head can be fixed?
