  1. Done a few of these, 750m with b12-dot head, 38mm,best carbs hit frame, so we made billet tops on outer two carbs, and another we trimmed frame inside unseen, and made scalopp plate to restrengthen it ! Also 34mm tin tops from 1052 gsxr work well no mods, as there skinny.
  2. Yes little slash cut pipe is good too, idles allways worse (noisey ) than on boost,
  3. Myn was like that, I thought it was just due to short exhaust outlet , as when I had full exhaust it wasn't there at all? No pipe just chug chug .
  4. Cougar make superb two stroke parts you would be hard pressed to get any better!
  5. Nice one did a mk2 two years ago, for a mate was a pig to get parts for but hey I got there he paid me penuts to do it but I love a good Suzuki stroker! Will keep an eye on your efforts.
  6. I know most stuff can be transposed but anyone fitted an exhaust from slabbie 750 to a teapot 750- 1999 model or simlar. Cheers trying to help a work mate out who's let's say , fooking useless !
  7. Oil feed banjo,s can be restricted with Mikuni jets, in 1.00mm in myn at both ends turbo banjo, and oil supply! I cut an old emulsion tube m5 threaded end and drilled my banjo bolts to then press the brass m5 thread down into it. Also used (JB) weld epoxy to go round the end to seal and hold just in case. Then screw jets in to restrict as nessary! You may also need scavenge pump to return oil to sump if your turbo is in line with sump! Good luck.
  8. I had Td04-16t , bandit block,1052 bottom end, stock comp.10.1 stock Pistons cams head.no retard 2-1/2"exhaust system. 7psi boost, 34m carbs.209bhp 111lbs torque!
  9. Not sure, head can be swapped from shims to locknut if you have spare head parts . Only carried out this on older heads.
  10. I've done a couple, last one on b12 was 750-j,k head with same cams b-12 cam sprockets, 4-1 system and 36mm carbs, made 130bhp at wheel, But also finished with uppteron flow job skimmed o,.o05 " , comp was 12:5.1 and 38mm, carbs 4-1 system 84lbs torque, and 147bhp .1157cc and one OSS no bullshit award lol. well worth the effort but as Si says gsxf cams too soft, you need gsxr-750 j.k or 1100,
  11. Be fine that no worries ' ! Must have alloy tig welders at AirPort somewhere?
  12. Colin, you may have pingel tap clearance to dress ,and the carbs should be ok, if you run cv,s it won't work been there chopped frame to suit caps, also we had b12 with 750.j.k dot head. Rocker cover is removable but need to take breather cap off. Also we run gsxr-1000 micron serpent headers made huge difference to power! If you can get one. Its all do,able just make it happen small light frame big motor many hours of fun.
  13. I don't know really , but seem to recall 3-5ohm being favoured ,but that's where I ended up Dyna .s with 5ohm coils big fat sparks that still crack like an aircraft ignitor with less juice, but you get the less drain on bikes system , if your genny is just putting out enough to run, then you plumb for 3ohms more strain, fine for racing etc. so 5ohms are less of a drain on charging . So stock coils are also 5 ohms just for ref,
  14. I used 5ohm gsxr style, new from my buddy Marcus at rexes speed shop. They were same output as the sometimes fragile Dyna coils, As Dyna ignition installation says it needs 5ohm coils to get best out of it. Marcus or Katie. http://www.rexs-speedshop.com/

    B12 carbs

B12 carbs I fitted on mates Westfield did same , new needle seats and bowl seals.
  16. I'd say hold fire at first on the Dyna, oil light would be my first fix, check for short or damage to earth ,make sure that switch is good too! When you swapped sump did you swap pipes and refit o-ring in middle of sump? Just a thought. But once oil light issue is sorted worry about jetting later, the 4000rom Rush is needles (height to be fair). If you drop the needles one clip it riches the fuel due to taper of needle, lowering the clip raises the taper allows more fuel. And vice versa lift clip up the needle pushes needle down into the tube, leaning off fuel. So probably simple fix there. ref cdi. Just don't Rev it fully open. Simple save some cash until right cdi turns up.
  17. Wonderd where this had gone glad to see its still in once piece! Has good potential that. I kinda advised the previous owner, well bullied him to get it running and finish it as was close couple years back.
  18. Progress dude indeed! Glad to here it's still moving forward frustrating at times in many ways.
  19. Dont be gutted there worth good dollars bud.
  20. Don't panic chap! Just sort the carbs, balance and it will settle down am sure! It's got oil in it that's a start, once it's running smoother change the oil. As for noise from ignition cover, coincidentally I'd say. Started many old engines with the oil in they came with , usually a change after you have run it is best really as it will flush out any settled cack.
  21. I stripped k forks the adjuster comes out with some care! I just put myn in ultrasonic bath with soapy solution cleaned up a treat. The brass slotted screw siezes up over time and had to cut trim some alloy away with junior hacksaw, on one to get it freed off. works a treat once you have this out you can clean and re -o ring it lots rubber grease and reasemble. There not best forks std I ran k-tech springs and different internals I myn.
  22. Very clean like that Steve, top effort!
  23. B12 hybrid with dot head cams 38cvs ran 138 Mains 3rd clip on needle,
  24. Myn were quite sloppy on both sets I had, any more than 0.050" each ways I'd say was goosed the rattle more as you would expect, just wears the needle out quicker .
