  1. Baaaaa, tyre life really? Well as your asking chief I ran my turbo slabbie with new tyre and coverd like,1500 miles and still had plenty left ,210bhp yes they do muller the middle out but dual compounds help, Diablo coarse or and busa/zx14 type tyre will do. And so much so still have it and using it on my new mock up. Don't worry just smoke it baby.

  4. Thanks Ted, yes got that info, just need to know what size bearings people are fitting to get the k5- into slingshot frame. Which has 47mm I.d race hole. As its bit of a confusion.
  5. Just a quicky, I'm just trying to suss the k5-6 Gsxr front end into my slingshot, what bearings are we currently using, can't find the info on here at mo! Obviously going taperd roller, with 30mm k5 stem and slingshots 47mm o.d races. Cheers in advance. Folks.

I've had 750-k forks and 11k in both my last two projects and whilst they both were modified to suit my weight and bikes, the 750,s as stated were damped rod, and big ole 11k were cartridges, I had K-tech do my 11k think they may have had Hon€€ cbr600rr cartridges fitted, and respective Spring rates. And 750 ones were reworked by Mct stowmarket as , Ken sommerton who owns runs k-tech helped me out before he went huge, global production . They both can be made so much better for few quid, way cheaper to do than usd forks, as well I seem to remember . Great stuff.

Hi Dan, had wee look at the Trick ecu whilst I was up getting some fab work done looks nice job , bike will come good soon enough am sure, as for breathers I ran two 7/8" -1" breathers one from rocker cover and the other from clutch case both to catch bottle with baby Kn breather. Those motors need to breath with a blower , especially with refresh new rings ,etc. Keep us posted bud.
  10. Just digging about on,t tinter net, for trick race rearsets for slingshot! What fits??? Anyone retrofitted others as heard k5 may fit with opening bolt holes up! Or any others that will do. cheers in advance.
  11. Well it's a process sorting these issues, at least motors all fresh an sweet now that's a bonus! as for tensioner the ratchet mechs are know weak point! So once you have slipped the manual tensioner in set it up nice and Don't over tighten it (broken blades)! Will happen I've seen a few wreaks the motor. Sure it will be sweet and purring like Gsxr should.
  12. Fresh plugs, needed first , will help no end + full battery , however power jets are not enabled on these! Best 38's you can only get. Them from factory pro super sport kit. And even then they Only work with stock airbox and operate at 3/4-full throttle. Not worth it really it.
  13. slingshot with Gsxr 1000- k4#5 micron serpent headers! Made 5bhp more than , stock and plenty more midrange.
  14. Just do it once do it right! Less grief in the end! Trust me I've done most things wrong way once or twice facto! just finished my 1216 motor Busa slugs, stock rods but with cometic MLS head gasket £60 . new o.e.m oil seals etc .base was £17 . O.e.m & seals £25 . depends how you want to spend your time but me for one , saves time in long run. Warpspeed do lockups too.
  15. Great great project sounds like your heading right way with motor plans! Sleeper for sure I've just helped young lad at work rebuild one to stock condition with 750 motor goes really well but handling soft to be honest! Keep up the mods you will get there no worries ! A lot of fun for cheap really these. Hope you source a good motor for it! Oh yea use photo bucket to host your pics then just copy paste them to OSS. Simples.
  16. Yes two 7/8" breathers front and back plus two more on Lock up cover also! Turbo motors Need to breath more!
  17. Yes tourmax kit! Of that site are fairly good little rubber grease on assembly ! Used them for years pretty happy with them.
  18. Finally few late nights an she's together once again. Really happy that' it's all come together again and fresh as fresh thing can be ! Shame it's going to get right ole shock boosted again.

  20. Started late last night and managed to get block Pistons together in harmony ! Along with new cometic gaskets and O.E.M seals etc. Just need to get it timed up now and quick polish .
  21. Jesus Jk ! Any Ideas why it bent a valve your lucky I'd say myn did same when it ate 8mm jubile fuel hose clamp. survived no issues string like bull these Gsxr motors.!!!
  22. Finally managed an hour in man cave In between home life and every thing else! So popped valves in there new fresh home! Motor reasembly will commence very soon!
