  1. It's keeps needle straight, look inside where needle lives , in the slide because in side the base of the slide is a small step this offsets the needle which wears out your emulsions and causes bad fueling and running flat spots .so little spacer keeps this all parallel and square.
  2. Also jonnys mod with needle spacer is a diamond mod, we chewed threw a set of emulsion tubes , before this mod and it made huge difference to needle angle and postion.
  3. Still have needles never used them , as new if you needs some.
  4. Ive got a kit for 38mm, best carbs and it just comes with three sets of mains some clips and shims, factory pro number I will find tomorrow for you it's there supersport kit. For the 750m ! We ended up at 142 factory pro mains , I think.
  5. John should bloody, give you a 4.9 mate tbh!!!!
  6. Motors are good, but age wise check for coolant ,leaks an loss last one I did had porous head, and had refresh top end as one pot was rotten .there very tuneable basically x7 bottom end, they are understressed so good port job high compression helps a lot. Some plastic gears can strip in water pump area, power valve motors sieze up too, same part number as rg500. Make sure it moves when you Rev it. Brake Calipers same as slabbie, and discs are rare and expensive. Forks ,shock are shraider type so you can charge with nitrogen. Tanks rott in lower corners badly so hope yours is fluid tight. exhausts are hard to find rspecially silencers, ( race expansion chambers best)lol. great bikes handle very well, you will love it.
  7. I fitted k5 arm in my slingshot, with k7 shock (wrong valving) and now have 11-slingshot shock with 750m linkage, and I made dogbones from t6 alloy bar m12 rose joints.pics show k7 shocker with m-linkage. but 11 -H shocker is same hole spacing .i am going to have k7 revalved to suit , just need to measure the whole set up.

They are about as I'm sure most know! Just ask, Stuart warpspeed
  10. I've repaired these before, if your super gentle and carful, you can drill the Bakelite top enough to slip short piece 3/16" of flared copper brake hose(car shite) into hole and bond it in there. The flared end is under neath and you can bond it in there. You will need to countersink the underside of the carb top, with say 1/4" drill bit by hand only. It works a treat and costs pennies to do. Good luck.
  11. Slabside f.g.h are all same four pots bit shite for slabbie so but find on gamma, did one myself couple of years ago.
  12. Thanks Dan, appreciate that info, think myn. Just had way too much damping even fully wound off, it's got the H speed adjuster too that I just don't need kinda bough wrong shocker To be honest, tryed to fit 750 k9 shock today and the nitrogen chamber is fouling my swingarm. Will go softer Spring route at mo that's my quick fix.
  13. Hi Dan ,you suspension looks just like myn, now I've been stuck for two weeks on bench as you know Spring issues I have k7 shock with high speed damper adjustment and standard 565lb Spring. I've gone down to 300lbs and still no compression on Spring when you sit on it, I have ordered more springs from god sport there ace free postage and really good quality .(being British made lad) I've got some help with the ratio and linkage set up , but it's time I don't have to set it all up. Anyways I digress which shock do you have on yours chief, interested for sure does yours compress nicely ? Cheers fuller.
  14. That's so nice and clean dan, like that a lot.
  15. Try those , conti attacks had em on my slabbie and they were really good for money, To be fair, Ktm cup ran them as control race tyre.
  16. I would start at 15volt alternator, which you have changed allready the voltage regulator inside has problem am sure, check that plug and all the wires from it to battery with a multi meter. And earths as said earlier on crank case and battery, clean em up shinney and a bit of where it bolts too. Be methodical an do each plug wire from alternator .
  17. I see you dilemma now, seems simlar to my issue with gsxr 1000 arm I had to make spacers and mix of parts to sort the linkage, could you use a spacerd busa link with bushes/spacers on busa bolts or simlar bolts.
  18. Use. 750 link and busa bolt , with sleeve to space the linkage.
  19. +1 for o.e.m frictions , carbon or Kevlar seem to discolour the oil quickly and are more prone to slipping with hard use, I've used all sorts over years but o.e.m seem to be stress free. Barnett seem OK in bandits but I've only used o.e.m in my slabbie .As for springs kibblewhite are very good, for more base pressure, if not just shim std ones with correct o.d washers allways a cheap quick fix.
  20. MELETT nice quality stuff, used that stuff myself all good dan.
  21. Looks great and frame £11 even better! Will keep an eye on your progress! I've used those forks several times over last few builds they can be made to work well, If All adjusters are ok? Great stuff keep up the pace!!!
  22. Just read your posts and I can share by experience with abiet we had tuned dot-750 head and cams gasflowed etc. But all the same b12-& bst38,s we ran 142 mains upto 145 in winter rich setting. standard needles and tubes, standard pilots too. Foam dual filters are best pulses from each carb pair seem smoother! I would never use Dyno jet needles made of shite and , we used factory pro kit, don't bother with enabling power jet circuit. It was only for supersport applications in USA, with airbox.750m-L models.
