  1. No issues at all made 209bhp 111lbs torque. with the current system ! But that's with 20% loss across valves!!! Now has forged Pistons new fresh bore block . And all new Head Mls gasket . The 34mm metal top carbs are sold now anyway so there Not included in sale but rest of system is. You just need your carbs 95 main jets and bingo. Many Torques.
  2. Ta Ash, everything' takes so bloody long!!! Got head back From Daimco this am new stock valves £££ fook there're dear! freshly cut seats and lapped too. So next few eves will nail it all together and see what she looks like. Then it's selling time free up some funds for the 1400 project.
  3. 400732849702 http://www.brooksbarn.co.uk/Chrome-Fork-Tube-Stanchion-Leg-Suzuki-GSXR750-88-89-Pair_A1KKTP.aspx ive used these on my Gsxr turbo, and last cafe racer! Good quality and just over £100 eCh tube not badly priced. Just my view as rechromed are same price if not more.
  4. Get them undercut by Rodger upperton proper preventative maintainance!
  5. Bin the in the tensioner treat her to a new manual one fit an forget.Simples.
  6. Try smaller mains, Think we ended up with 38mm headers and 38 m carbs, but jets were 148 mains. Little rich but pulled best .
  7. Well been a little busy sorting my gsx1400rr build so motors got side lined until now! Heads being recut and brand new valves fitted eak £££££ . New Vitton seals and cometic gaskets too boot. Had the lock up anodised black , and new black -10 fittings stainless screws etc. Looks nice thus far. Will hopefully get head back at end of week and we can have build up of the Hybrid beast .
  8. So true! The fasteners get a right Royal workout! Mind you very satisfying when sorted.
  9. Not sure there's a guide! But the bar should slide through ( black clips) make sure there greased and bar moves smoothly don't use wd40 it attacks rubber and in time degrades it. Try post some pics this will make it clearer to suss out! I would say the plungers are dry and bar needs a lube! But hard to say with out seeing bud.
  10. Un clip the choke puller bar only little black plastic things and slide the choke puller off then tease each brass choke plunger out by pulling on the end! They should? Slide in an out with some spring resistance, just had myn done and had sticky choke also , freed them off and even took one plunger out completely bit rubber grease slipped it back in. good luck.
  11. Just thought I'd ask but have you got stock cam chain tensioner? As there getting pretty old now maybe an idea to swap for manual one? Well before you strip the top end.
  12. We use thin smear of grease on each face of gasket! Then tighten bolts in opposite fashion (usually) no issues then and if ! you need to pull it off again it won't tare.
  13. Loving the noise in the air Clive! At least you Sussed C.r and the head gasket lol.
  14. Yup with 1137cc you need to deck block by 0.040" to get comp correction on 1157.
  15. Ouch Dan, feel your pain at this point ! never a good time to get spanked hard £££ wise! kerp the faith it Will be worth it for sure!!!
  16. Warpspeed racing do them also great upgrade to an ageing Suzuki !
  17. Alloy looks better and yes lighter! Guess it's upto you personal choice an all that. 3mm He30 soft easy to work.
  18. I love that!!!! Dvla three parts from the old bike!!!! Some of our builds are soooo far removed from what they once were it's laughable. Great to see another sponson framed bike being reborn love it.
  19. Great stuff, malpassi regulator and car type inline fuel pump will do, and regulator set to 2psi ish. One other thing worth noting you (WILL) need at least one if not two 1"breathers either off clutch cover As these boosted motors need it. Some use catch bottle/tank others to atmosphere via filter. Keep it going chief you will never look back once you ride it anger. !!!
  20. Try one from Volvo. T5or v70 its Mitsubishi (13150) made unit. Get a straight flange Td04hl-16t . It's built in blow off valve. Cheap enough unit and good for 350bhp.

    new headers

If you can find one!!!! Try micron Serpent headers from gsxr1000 k5-7 these are superb and light 0.5mm stainless and make great Hp we made 7hp in midrange with these on gsxr11 .
  22. Worth noting stock b12 motors in GOOD health with no N/a tuning will make 160-210 Bhp depending on Turbo system etc. You just don't need to mess around with them no skimming or porting needed really , of course you still can do what you want but if just want a turbo b12 crack on. I cobbled my first turbo motor out old parts reused Gaskets etc and with WSR turbo system and second hand turbo made 209bhp 111lbs torque, Just to prove it would work and it did well , so my small amount of advice is make sure your motor is good and strong no burning oil or valve seat leaking,And go from there ! And worth noting you WILL DEFO need a lock up clutch.Unless you like wasting money on clutch packs ??? Lockups are a necessary upgrade am afraid and once fitted setup forget it.
  23. You could if it was a track bike and had roller starter! Just flow the stock head big valves and get comp ratio upto 15:1 - 19:1 buy taking 0.010" 0.015" off head + with race fuel .easy be over 130bhp . Its been done before !!!
