  3. T pots, yea soft cams, But motors are good!
  4. Always break a few eggs eah Clive! Looks really promising, keep it up chief loving the idea with the arm.
  5. Pitot I'd say, myn were twin set up at 45' to each other' worked a treat .
  6. Sounds like you need to check float heights first then , needle postion to work out where you are fueling wise. At 3k it's on needle circuit for sure and if it gets worse when hot it's fueling indeed.main jets don't come into play until 3/4-into full throttle.
  7. +44 1580 880768 http://www.rexs-speedshop.com/ Hes lovely guy worked with him for years in Aircraft industry! He had enough and set up his own business!
  8. Not a bad idea, Gary try power screen or 11 slabbie son , As way cheaper than 750,vm -29,s although you can bore 29,s to 33 mm and they work ace on 750 motor as I'm dam sure you know already. 11, tin tops. 162513227494 shipmate
  9. Dan ,my buddy at rex,s speed shop marcus rex does rewinds !
  10. All interesting work boys , keep pictures coming !!!
  11. If not I've got some somewhere !
  12. I've fitted k7 arm into 750m. Used stock shock with remote resovior, as k7 shock was to big to fit under my (battery box) My design so bare that in mind, You can go the Oem k7 linkage route but it's a compromise for linkage to 750 m or k1100 frame. I cut the 750 m top dogbone mount off and welded it to k7 arm to get geometry same as Oem, that way it all works as before and all linkages are correct. We tried to use many other linkages with hardly any success, due to restricted movement/travel say 2" or such .New top hat bushes for k7 arm to take slingshot spindle need to made from high carbon steel as mild steel just galls up and fails.Check out my build thread from here! And good luck.
  13. It looks ace so glad you got some miles under her at last ,credit to you sticking with it a fine steed indeed.Top job for sure!
  14. My bastardised 750m fighter WSR modified.
  15. Ive got factory pro kit for 38,s never used the needles just mains, Emulsions get mullerd on 38,s so easy. Be wary of that make good torque and power those with 40mm headers.
  16. Blue white for me!!! Unless there's a fully BLACK-BLACK one.. Que Johnny painter so love those sketches....
  17. Looking great Gary like that a lot! And I'm in agreement 7fiddy motor will be a hoot revvy and fun to ride! It's going to be a fantastic bike for sure seats are hard call mind you , your tank lends itself to smoother shorter lines more rounded proportions I'd say to a shorter stubbier style seat just my five pennith ship mate! 292202397945
  18. Great stuff Dan been looking forward to your update! Motors sounding promising now! Does take an age some times, work-life-balance nil cash...Be Worth it in the end!
  19. Ok folks, we used gsxr 1000 micron serpent headers pulled about to suit, no balance pipes or joiners just 4-1 with 60mm slipon can. I know it's not best lines for headers but with out them on tuned motor it's bloody pointless, You need good headers, at least 38-40mm I.d to make use of the gasflowed head, Made 0.025" skim on my dot head from Memory 12.4:1 comp no pinking or knocking stock plugs stock j,k cams.Stock cdi but green dynas.
  20. We ran b12. With skimmed dot head bst38,s gsxr 1000 serpent micron headers , 150mains std needles, one clip up from lowest point, (rich) Was rich on Dyno made 149bhp, After jet change 145mains made 147bhp, lovely power curve,
  21. Just check your carb needles, on 38,cvs they wear in the emulsion tube, causing poor fueling 3-5k area , NOT saying it's defo this problem but it's quite common. If they are good condition and no polishing or small notches or marks , then try lower the needle one clip slot higher.(leaner)
  22. your a lucky lad Dan, been there done that, with those cam sprocket bolts, I allways use loctite 601 Green . Best grip strength (Rolls Royce) Tay jet engines can't be wrong there!!! Never had one loose since.
  23. Sounds like your heading in right direction Chap , Head scratcher for sure ! I had a Srad 600 with an odd issue while back , it blew rectifier which was swapped then didn't start so changed, Cdi, Then pickups then coils ! And Loom ,Still no spark tryed another cdi Still , no joy! Then I remembered that the ignition switches had a 100k ohm resistor which had blown Bingo, changed it for b600 switch I had and it ran . mind fuck sometimes..... Good luck with your fault finding bud,
  24. Well , I've just fitted Motad Stainless (Slabside 750 f.g.h) To a 98 tea pot 750. It fits ok misses sump and clears well. Lost centre stand but hey? Who cares , had to drill four broken bolts out and retap m8 .1.25 . i hope it runs ok will find out tomorrow as fitted new float needle valves and serviced the ole nail! Just wanted to let folk know its a possibility to do this swap.
  25. Well , from memory both 750-j,k & Tea pot heads casting is same! High inlet tracts , Causes carb interface issues on slingshots,( Frame) if your doing hybrid, Just cams are different (Sorry no idea on lifts) but we all know Gsxr cams are best ones for peak power once dailed in on slotted sprockets .
