  1. With k&n filters and a open zorst you will need a stage 3 kit

    carb rubbers

If you have the standard gsxr1100k (36mm carb) rubbers on, the 38mm carbs will not fit in the 36mm rubbers. You need to get the gsxr750l/m carb rubbers. The b12 carbs will fit the standard gsxr1100k rubbers. The w/c 38mm carbs do fit the oil cooled motors they are just very tite.
  3. Main thing to remember is the gsx1100f your thinking of IS NOT A KATANA The answer to your question is basically yes, all the zorsts from the gsxr1100 (1127), b12, gsx1100f and gsx1100g will all for the engine prots. You may need to change the dump and oil pickup depending on the first you put on, as the oil cooled motors that have a 4-1 on have a different dump the the 4-2 zorst. If your looking for performance zorst they are not cheep even 2nd hand. 4-1 is good for top end, 4-2-1 is good for all over power (some may disagree, just going of what dyna tell me) Doing a swop from your gsxg to a gsxf zorst there is no gain. Depends on your budget, Danvic do a good zorst for not much cash.
  4. Welcome to OSS As x2 above, can be done need full gsxr750 box, bearings are not the same so you need to do some work with that. Better and easyer ways to get more performance out of your bandit.
  5. I believe the gsx1100g forks have smaller centres for the brake calipers, also a smaller wheel spindle. If you want USD forks, have a look at KTM forks? You will need to sort out the yokes/bearings but they are about 830mm long. Mate uses them for building chops. Your stuck with the rear wheel.
  6. I think ? the 38mm carbs where on the 750L models (usd forks post watercooled) the 750k had 36mm cards.
  7. The 36mm carbs are a good all round carb, some K&N pod filters and a reject will make it feel like a different bike, if you have the standard zorst you will need to sort that as it will be restricting the motor. You could go for the 38mm carbs from the gsxr750 slingshot but you will need the carb rubbers to match, and to do it right open the ports on the head to match (for best result but if not would not stop engine from running).
  8. Welcome to OSS, Bandit 1200 front end and put some progressive springs in them As @fatblokeonbanditsays what's the length of your forks? To help more. The hard bit to sort I think is the rear, which will show up when you sort the front you could do with a better rear shock, but again what's the length on you bike at the moment?
  9. RWU gsxr forks has a plate like the b12 and RF9 but they look the same but hole spacing is different
  10. I'm with you, put your temp sender at the bottom end. As for the top end kit, Mrs W has had one in her gsxr1100 for years with no problems the oil cooled motors run with a much better pressure than the old air cooled bikes did to the point of more than needed with normal running, so putting top end cooled kits and head coolers without increasing the pump out put is not a problem for the oil cooled motors. Just my bit

    Red Light

We have all done it I remember years back when I was a dispatch rider, listening over the radio a run down between another rider and the controller going through why the riders bike would not start, ignition light on yes, motor won't start and so this went on and on all the way to removing the tank etc, till another rider came up and informed him that the handle bar mitts he has on, can and does knock the kill switch. After 45 mins at the side of the road striping his bike down he checked the kill switch and yes it was on the off position Sometimes this sort of thing happens and all you can do is laugh and enjoy the rest of the day
  13. I was thinking that just needed to make shore Thanks.
  14. Ok , dose the 2004 gsx750f (UK) switch gear r/h side still have lights on/off switch? There is a switch there but it just has I dot on the right hand side and a triangle on the left hand of the switch/button?? Any help Thanks.
  15. If you connect and pipe onto the tape where the vacuum pipe would go, then suck on the pipe (when tank is off/disconnected from the bike/carbs ) if the tape is working as you suck you will get a patch of fuel on the floor.
  16. Dose anybody know if the rear disc bolt hole size/spacing is the same as on a slingshot ? I know the b12 is a over all bigger diameter, but will it bolt onto a slingshot rear wheel? Thanks.
  17. Are you meaning the bolt (1 ever side) in the side of the cam cover ? If so no. If your meaning the 2 bolts (2 ever side) in the side of the head? If so yes.
  18. If you can't feel them, there OK The steel plate should be flat not worped.
  19. Is their any grooves in ever the inner or outer clutch baskets? This could course you the problems you are saying.
  20. Has the bike been stud, maybe plugs
  21. Like the gs1000, the earlier gs850 barrels did not have the 6mm bolt in the middle/front of the barrels (between pots 2/3) If you use kwak z1000j carb rubbers on a slide carb head, you can put CV carbs on you need to elongate the bolt holes on the rubbers and in a ideal world match the ports up to the rubbers but there not that far out.
