  1. First time posting, was wondering if I could get some insight from the gurus on here. I have an 86 Slabside 750, just about completed an 89 fork swap for the 17 inch wheels, but after throwing the fairings on I noticed I lost a crazy amount of handle bar clearance inside the front fairing. My master cylinders in the proper locations will touch the fairings on both sides, meaning I can’t even steer the forks. I did a fair amount of research but I don’t think I read anything about this. Any insight would be great! For now I’ll have to run the bike naked.
  2. Good Day ALL Has anyone fitted a k5 swingarm to and 88 750 slingshot frame. If so does anyone have any pics.
  3. Hey everyone, new to the forum, already learning a lot! I'm sure something along these lines has been addressed before but after hours of searching I've still found very little. Just gathering insight at the minute on people's experiences with fitting a later type GSXR swingarm (Preferably k4 1000) and getting a shock to fit a slingshot frame. It is off at the minute getting spacers made to fit my 1100L frame and it's only the shock and linkage that will be holding me back from getting it rolling. Now come the questions. A few little birdies told me my place to go is OSS if I want to try get my hands on an adapter plate for lower shock mount to allow a later k-series shock and linkage to fit. Also, I have a chart for all the sizes and lengths of the shocks and upper and lower dimensions but I want to make sure. Will any of the GSXR linkages/knuckles fit the range of shocks or is there one best suited to my set up that someone would recommend? I also need recommendations/peoples ideas for a rear shock best suited to my needs that wont be awful to fit and a link/placename to a good set of adjustable dog bones that wont break the bank Thanks in advance for any help! It's much appreciated.
  4. Hi guys, new to the site. Just wondering if it is possible to convert my 1990 gsx750f slingshot to a fuel injection instead of carbs? It may be a stupid question but I haven't a clue if it's possible and thought some of you may have the answer.
  5. Hey guys, thanks for having me on the forums. Basically one of a few sites I can find information on my bike. So I got a '93 gsx1100g, this is going to be my first baby. But as I have seen I have found only three serious builds out there with little information on swapping front ends. I was wondering if anyone can point me in the easiest direction for a front end swap. I have seen 2 people with a 93 gsxr750 front end and I forgot the year of the other gsxr750 front end. Sounds like imma have to have a stem made if need be, but could anyone help point me into what else would be needed and what to look out for. If anyone has rode this bike, you know the front end is absolute sponge. I'll be posting more questions about this thanks guys.
  6. Just saying a quick hello from Lincolnshire, as I've signed up this evening for the forum. I've presently got a couple of oil-boilers, plus one of my Dad's bikes, lurking in the garage that fit the OSS description. My 1989 750 Slingshot is a nice old bus, and I seem to have recently done a deal that's resulted in an '85 Slabbie being sat in there too... not too sure what to do about that one though, as I wasn't actually supposed to be looking for another project... d'oh. Let's see though. There's also my Dad's 1994 GSX600F that he doesn't know what to do with, it's a 12k bike that he's had from new and in pretty decent nick really. It needs a chain and sprockets, a repaint of the frame and the wheels refinishing but otherwise isn't bad at all. It's tucked up out of the way until we figure that out too. So yeah, hello!
