  1. Done it both ways in the past, first bolted the cooler strate to the frame on the gs,kat and other bikes and had no problems. I have also used rubber rings between the frame and the cooler bracket over the years and I've not seen any difference between the two ways.

    GSX 1200

I'd send it by PM if I was you there watching you know
  3. It would be fun to ride Not much help but I've seen a cbr 600 in the cbr 400 frame. If a hon#a can do it Suzuki must be better
  4. From what I can see on your pics all looks OK. Their are usual 3 (12mm think maybe 10mm ) that hold the alt in place (heads of bolts on the lh side of motor) As @CockneyRicksays count the teeth on the sprockets and someone who know bandits more can tell you what's what The alt can be a real pain to get in place and mess the teeth, unless you're very lucky it the teeth where wrong and the bike has run I would of expected to see damage.
  5. If it's the wrong one and its been running I'd have a much closer look, the gear at the back of the clutch that the alternator goes onto also runs the oil pump. If you think its the wrong alt, I'd remove the clutch and have a good look/check that all is OK before you go looking for a new alt.
  6. Hi and welcome to OSS, Yes there are different sizes of sprockets (gears as you say) and if you force the wrong size in you can bust the gear on the back of the clutch basket (not cheep)
  7. PS, just had a look on that site, and looks like all the 750 and 650 has the bolt. May do the job.
  8. If not, I believe all the GS oil filter covers interchange and I'm shore someone will be along to say which one/ones have the bolt
  9. Some GS (cannot remember which think its the 550/650) oil filter cover have a bolt to one side (so it misses the spring) could you put the sensor there?
  10. If it helps, the gsx-es etc has the temp sensor on the oil pressure sensor plate that's on the top of the crank case rear of the barrels.
  11. Hi all, Can anybody tell me what other rh switch gear will plug in/work on a b12 mk1 harness? I'm thinking a b6 will? Will any others? Cheers.
  12. That is so sweet he would be happy with that, I would think
  13. Jobs like that @baldricki will have to let you have a play with the next project
  14. I've seen different years put in b6, but the pre 2000 have the best carbs. I believe you can put the pre 2000 carbs on the later engines, the main thing is to get one that had the 4-1 zorst so you don't need to mess with the sump but only the very early ones had the 4-2 zorst. Gsxr750 also go strate in, even more bhp I will let someone who knows more about the gsxr750 motors tell you more on that one.
  15. Put a gsx750f in it, same zorst etc, but 36mm carbs. About the same price but with more power and no need to mess with front/rear ends unless you want MK2 b6 just need to blank off PAIR at front, I believe the pick ups are the same and as said above alt just two wires, easy
  16. Just did a teeth count, 66 Cheers again
  17. Hi all, Been looking in a box of gsxr bits I have and there is a alternated gear (the one that goes on the back of the clutch ) thing is I don't know which gsxr its off? Could be a 750/1052/1127 as I know in the past I've stripped all the motors down. Can anybody tell the how many teeth each has so I can see which it is? Thanks.
