  1. Can be two things. 1. Piston rings/bores, bore time 2. Are you storing it in a cold place and the engine is getting condensation on/in it? If so it may just be the condensation burning off when the motor is worming up.
  2. A ball bearing is used when you're doing the downside clutch conversion on the oil cooled motors (in Frankenstein's bit) not needed on a standard motor/clutch.

    Fork ID

What's the diameter of the forks? Give us a chance
  4. I believe so, but don't know if there is any difference between the UK one and the USA one as a smaller tank on the US one?
  5. Miss W is using a zx9r clutch master with no problems, well till I change the slave
  6. My help, I've put a b12 slave on Miss W gsxr1100, (so the old slave had the smaller piston, think the sizes where 32mm in stead of the now 40mm may be well out on the size ) Anyway, now found that the gsxr1100 is a real pain to get into neutral, but before went in nice and easy, so going to put a longer push for in. Before anybody ask/says, the reason I put the b12 one in is because I could not find out which model the smaller piston slave was off, as all the deal kits had the bigger piston size and yes it's a Suzuki one
  7. Carbs, always fun to set up pilot jet for under 3000rpm needle 3000/5000rpm, main jet above that + float which can change the hole lot and that's just to start.
  8. Also give time for any extra oil from head etc after running, to seep back down to the site glass or you could over fill. As if you check it as soon as you stop the engine, you will not see any oil in the site glass.
  9. Will lift needle, so richer from 3000/4000 rpm up words.
  10. Item number 372246244592 Not the same i got, but will give you some ideas. Lots of other types just have a good look
  11. Don't know about over in the USA but there are end cans (2 of) on Eblag new for about £60 (from China) I got one last year stainless steel £33 and seems good gear. So I'd your looking for looks and a bit extra, then may be the way to go instead of named performance which has the extra price for the name
  12. All these motor/carbs seem to be similar but all seem to have a slit different tweek, which seems to come down to zorst/end can. Had to play about with my gsx1100f engine Kat because I change the end can, from running just right to running rich at bottom end. (Pilot screw)
  13. The bandit 1200 down pipes will go on (sump allowing) but 1. Not a performance down pipe. 2. Very heavy as they are double skinned. You would get just as much performance with your standard down pipes by putting a good set of open end cans and a rejet.
  14. Ok, Mrs W, has gsxr1100k engine with b12 carbs in her bike, carbs are set with 150 main jets (dyna jets) needle in centre clip and pilot jets at 2.5 turns out. Bike has Cobra 4-1 with one off end can and K&N dual filters. Hope this helps.
  15. At 3000/4000rpm is where it comes off pilot jet and starts to go to the needle then the main jet. So yes, needle for me or may be the emulsion tubes are worn.
  16. Sorry, should of been sump not dump the oil pick up is the bit that sticks down when you remove the sump pan, you need to have the matching one for the sump pan. Yes the b12 is the 97-05 all bandits use 4-1 as standard.
  17. This is why I think teachers are NOT worth the pay they get
  18. Not the same size wheel/tyre. You could have a look at some of the Suzuki custom bikes.
  19. Welcome to OSS, Try looking at the project pages Ps we all like pics on here

    carb rubbers

At least that bit is similar to the air cooled bikes
  21. Ps, is that the 400 bandit rear end on it (seat unit)?
  22. You could put a DOT head on it.
  23. I hope your not calling me young or sir, as I work for a living
  24. With k&n filters and a open zorst you will need a stage 3 kit
