  1. My frame number starts GR71F. That's a JDM prefix. I've since found out, these were made (for JDM), under the model name of GSX750R. So, it looks like it's an '85 model. Funny, as the V5C has it as manufactured 1986. Could they have got that wrong???

Why use the B6 wheel in the 12 arm? Use the whole B12 back end!
  3. Are there any sites with comprehensive chassis numbers, (as in From ~To), that I can nail down the year of Manf. of my import 750 Slabbie?
  4. That's not a bad price! And remember, when re-building use genuine Suzuki oil drain tube o rings, not the Eblag shite! Or you'll be a dab hand at removing/refitting heads!
  5. @69chrisThere you go. Better images!
  6. Well ... is it in your garage yet?
  7. Sounds healthy enough. Good project. Keep the photo's coming!
  8. And if it's a tight fit ... just get a bigger hammer!
  9. It would have been rude not to!
  10. Lovely! Now mind that new tank now!
  11. Well done! A new dodge that works! Might pay for anyone building an engine, to pre-drill that 'half moon' spacer before fitting? Just in case! Every day's a school day!
  12. I think @wraithhas done a B6 wheel in an 1100 Kat arm?
  13. +1. He's right! They're pretty wide, and not very deformable, so it'd be difficult to try and 'spring' it out! I'm not saying impossible, but I've never heard of it being done. And then, you'd have to fit a new one on top of the new seal, assuming you could get the old seal out anyway. Split the cases, leaving the top end intact. Not really a big job, once the motor's out ... but far safer!
  14. Can the mods retrieve it, or is it lost forever?
  15. If you do try reducing the engine sprocket spacer width, keep an eye on the chain to tyre wall clearance.
  16. I'd leave it as is. Everybody's doing black these days!
  17. You can only skim on the register where the sprocket sits (under the flanged nuts). You will also have to skim round the hub to the same depth. As John says, would it not be easier to sort out the engine sprocket end?
