  1. Aye, well. Don’t let your lass hear you … or you’ll end up in a home!
  2. B12 tyre hits the gusset at the front of the arm, Tony. I’ll post some pictures, if I can find them.
  3. Getting quite expensive now, if you can find any!
  4. Normally, I'd say a helicoil, but as we're talking brakes here, I'd opt for Timeserts. Dearer, but in my opinion, a lot safer.
  5. Hey! Whatever floats ya boat! Me? I like ‘em! Welcome to the OSS!
  6. It all depends what you want to do with it. What did the PO do with it? Strip? Go ahead. Fill ya boots. Have fun. Heavy maintenance schedule. Street??? Might be a bit of a handful! Still needs looking after. And, welcome to OSS … we didn’t add you. You added yourself!
  7. Exactly! From … to whatever the fuck they like! However much things change, they stay the same!
  8. Aye. Those days are long gone!
  9. And gear change shaft easy to extend, if needed.
  10. We all have days like that! As they say, ‘The man who never makes a mistake … is the man who hasn’t done fuck all’! Every day’s a school day!

    Hello Franklin.
  12. Amen to that! On a par with exhaust studs!
  13. As johnr says, and, when you offer the basket up, and think it's located correctly, put your fingers under it and try to move the oil pump pinion. If the basket's located properly you won't be able to move the pinion more than a tooths click.
  14. Yup! A really talented lad. He'd tackle anything. Built a lovely Kat for a member on the old site too.
  15. Maybe the duct tape was taking up the gap?
  16. Anodised, yes. I’d like to get a clean std. finish. Not shiny. Clive’s chrome powder might be an option, if it’s not too bright?
  17. Anyone had success with ‘tarting up’ a tired Slabbie frame? Magic potions, household products ect, or specific market solutions?
  18. I’m sure you’ll be able to ‘modify’ the Sidekick sender for your tank. Once it’s in your hands, you’ll figure it out. And, welcome to OSS.
  19. Exactly! How do you measure it’s worth? Thing of beauty. Priceless!
  20. Par for the course with DVLA. They could maybe cross reference the bin to obtain the reg. Maybe not. Probably best approach the VJMC. £30 per year though.
  21. @wraithIt is good stuff! I used to get it on Westgate Hill. Around £10 a bottle. Recommended mix was, iirc, 4 parts gas-1 part YCC. The required volume is fed to the carbs. Crank the engine without starting to pull mix through. Leave for 12 hrs. If no improvement, repeat. It never fails. Can go stronger mix if required. I kid you not.
  22. Never used it but, YCC’ll take some beating. Red label only.
  23. Give YamahaCarbCleaner a go before you strip down. If it solves your problem, great! If not, at least all your internals will be nice and clean. Go for the red label, if available. Yellow label is useless shoite!
