  1. off to Jerez in 2 weeks, with a dozen mates on modern 1000cc weapons. I need a little more in my armoury. Kent suz1 cams fitted and dialled in. Carburattion upgrades installed.
  2. I'm guess Suzuki had an Idea of what they were doing. Yes you can cool the cylinders by running rich, but they won't produce the power. If you can extra power out of the outer 2 cylinders by bumping the cr up on them a couple more points why wouldn't you?
  3. Makes sense. The inner cylinders will run hotter, so can only get away with lower compression.
  4. Use a teapot gsxf cable, the route much more nicely.
  5. the 750rrk had a second lower mounted head cooler from the factory.
  6. The slabbie weighs 182kg with a splash of fuel. Slingshot frame is a bit heavier. But I'd guess it's going to be 185-190kg.
  7. That's a good start. Ideally if you project a line through the rear wheel spindle and swing arm pivot it should run 10mm above the front sprocket centre line at ride height.
  8. Sprocket to swing arm pivot position is the key. Sorted everything else out after that.
  9. Spaced the rear of the tank up 12mm.
  10. Yes , had a 750k frame fitted with 1200 bandit and 750k dot head and 36mm bsts. Ram air filters and stock bellmouths. tight fit but no trouble.
  11. I'd go long stroke, the 89-92 bottom ends are the same. not sure what the cut off date is for you. I'd also go 4-2-1 if you can, gives you a fatter torque curve. 130bhp, will mean lots of compression, and lots of heat. Go big on the oil coolers, then bigger, and pay attention to the ducting. Pay attention to the crank case breathing too. Cool Bike
  12. Classic blocked pilot jet or pilot jet circuit. Get the carbs ultrasonic cleaned, rebuilt with correct float heights etc. You're on a hiding to nothing till then.
  13. They used the rocker feed bolts too didn't they?
  14. I know they use the later water cooled engine, but the Bimota SB6 mounted the engine this way.
  15. jolly was 3 weeks ago. working there this week.
  16. Yes. I had to clearance a bit more of the rocker mount to get more sag too as the bike was bet squirrely on the brakes.
  17. 4c8 model 2007-2008 works too. Spring rate is good for fast road/track
  18. Another fan here. run one on my slabbie race bike.
  19. You can gently prise the bezel off with a small screw driver. I successfully glued a bit of welding rod to my rev counter as a repair. worked fine until I cart wheeled the bike...
  20. Careful of using the Racetech site, they use American market as a reference, and 1100 used rwu forks in the US when Europe models were on usd.
  21. Not sure, but there is a spacer tube under the spring, so you can adjust the length of the tube to suit. Keep the free length of the spring and tube together, the same as stock.
  22. A bandit 1200 with dot head and cams is good for 130bhp on a good day. No more.
