  1. easier to reset than a fuse. Though I carry a spare breaker just in case.
  2. Really!!!!????? Sounds like recipe for warped discs and lose retaining bolts to me.
  3. Get some 0.5mm steel laser cut. ffs don't use gasket paper to space disks out. Speak to Kayla at https://www.projection-components.co.uk/disc-spacers-71-c.asp She's dead helpful.
  4. New ones aren't expensive from Suzuki.
  5. more likely the prv valve stuck open.
  6. Depends what you are using it for? front end shorter, rear lower and on 17" wheels it will sit a lot lower. Run the risk of decking out on track. I run mine on an Eblag r6 shock and shorter front end. it works and handles brilliantly on track. looking at newer shocks makes sense, but I'd look to go longer or fit an 1100 slabbie link to raise the rear a bit.
  7. About 10mm. pre 2006 r6 shock works really well. spring rate is spot on and raises the rear a little. 2005-2008 r1 shock works too but a little longer again.
  8. Intrested to know how the slabbie and slingy compare on track.
  9. Plenty of normal trackday dates out there too.
  10. I modified the combustion chambers on my dot head to suit the 79mm bore. basically I opened up the chamber around the valves to allow them to flow better. the larger bore allows you to do this. Doing this retained the large squish area , but reduced the cr slightly(though still more than a stock 1157), which may be a good thing if you go for after market pistons. Best of both worlds.
  11. You had a look at doing the top mounts yet?
  12. Me too. I'm looking at maybe replacing the 750 frame with an 1100, they're a bit beefier in the right places, but more importantly shorter from headstock to pivot.
  13. Mine has an 1127 with cams a flatslides. Hard on the gas in 2nd and 3rd it squirms about a bit, but that's the swingarm flexing, traction is brilliant though. That said i got hit up the arse by an R1 on track last month and something on the frame or swingarm has broken. I haven't had a chance to strip the bike to find out what has failed. I'll report back when I do.
  14. Why do you feel the need to brace it? I asked the same question before about bracing mine. got no definitive answer. I decided not to bother as it only adds weight. once I sorted the forks and shimed the engine mounts properly. It now handles really nicely even on slicks. I am still curious to know what difference it makes.
  15. Yes. Yoshimura thought so. Note the head cooler is the larger forward mounted cooler. But on your Katana, if you don't mount the second cooler where the headlight used to be, you are a gayer.
  16. loads of people run 12:1 pistons on road bikes. Not a problem if set-up well.
  17. Those web cams are drag race kit. designed to last a couple of seasons running. So about 15 miles... If the cam geometry's wrong no amount of oil will save them.
  18. I weld a tube and an10 fitting to the clutch cover.

  20. Absoloulty. a huge amount of care is need. Which is why brembo and the like spend a huge amount of money on qa. Most Chinese manufacturers don't even know what they are making let allow the tolerances needed. If you know what you are doing, it's ok you can gently them to work. Most motorcycle owners enthusiasm outstrips there knowledge. Not a good combination.
