  2. Snetttrton Bemsee test day. #haventcrashedyet
  3. Panic over. Found another set of needles and seats. bung them in and fixed it. Phew.
  4. Just doing some last minute prep on the race bike. Had a bit of fuel coming out the vent hose at Donington the other week. Turned fuel on the morning and it's absolutely pissing out the vent for number 3, not just a dribble a full torrent. Float heights checked float valves and seats swapped for good items. Still pissing out. What I'm I missing? Help!!!! Want to be loaded and gone tomorrow morning for practice Friday.
  5. I assume you mean the output shaft, not the crankshaft? if so, they aren't to bad to drill. Anyone one with a lathe and knowledge of cutting speeds should be able to do it.
  6. Would be awesome if you get hold of something, even if it' not 100% correct.
  7. Did you manage to get these cad models ?
  8. noise testing is a MSV. protocol to keep the nimbys at bay.

    Engine swap

Oil cooler doesn't bolt straight on, you'll need to fab up some brackets

Motor is a straight bolt in, except the crank pick ups if you are using the slabbie loom. Carbs will fit no trouble, but I don't think you'll be able to use the slabbie airbox with out some modification.
  11. 2 weeks time. Entry accepted, Diary cleared.
  12. Too good to break. Original unmolested bikes are getting hard to find.
  13. The basic loom is abou £12 from memory, or just the connector is £6. The basic loom does make a cheap and simple start for a chassis loom.
  14. Rain came too soon, I'm very rusty, and the damping has escaped from the rear shock of the winter. Great to be back on track though. looking at doing a race at Snet next month. When are you out Mark?
  15. Good to meet you today @Mole28. The bike looks and sounds stunning. Not sure how close your set up is to the original Harris swing arm. You'll need to know the motion ratio of the rear suspension. Wheel travel v shock travel. A small difference here can have quite an effect in spring rate. once you know that give Harris or Maxton a call, they'll be able to advise
  16. Ready for the first outing in 18months tomorrow.
  17. I agree. Never needed one on mine either. Mark needed one on his as it's mandated it the regs for his championship.
  18. There's a threaded ally boss welded to the frame.
  19. The Dunlop bike engine is based on a set of brand new 1127 cases which are still available from Suzuki. Hence the lack of numbers. 1216cc with a Nova 6 speed box. 165ish bhp. Lovely thing.
  20. I agree. but if you have the head temps under control the chances are the rest of the oil is adequately cooled too.
  21. Top oil temp is the critical thing for power.
