  1. On the 1340m motor I recently acquired the studs have been grooved to allow better oil flow presumably, I don't like this idea. My turbo motors have heavy duty studs with steel cometic head gasket and O rings fitted, haven't had any issues.
  2. Been spraying gt85 on the one in the picture I had done. Just the same as polished stuff really it does go off.
  3. I had the JMC swinging arm aqua blasted on the 10/4 Si project.
  4. It's very shiny when first done which does dull down with time.
  5. Yes, in my experience carb settings are pretty close to standard just with slightly bigger main jets.
  6. Haynes manual is very useful if your not familiar with these engines.

    Bike Show Dates

Harris meet up at Squires 8th June 2024.
  8. Harris owners club are having a meet up on the 8th of June at Squires near Leeds in Yorkshire. I plan on going as I have a Harris. Some nice bikes there last year and you don't have to own a Harris to come say hello and have a look see. There is camping and its a pub but you have to arrange that with them.
  9. Yeah that's the plan, it's really grown on me this project. It's going to be a proper weapon when I've finished it, well in me head anyway

    Carb tops

Won't using shallow carb tops not allow the slides to reach the top on full throttle on a carb thats designed with deeper carb tops ?
  15. That's pretty good, what's the power curve like ? what was the fuel starvation symptom ?

  17. 150 main jets lift needles to top 3 1/4 turns out with twin ram air filters on one of my'n and if you do need to go higher use little washers.
  18. Both my'n handle really well in twistys but if you want to play with modern super bikes with decent riders on board the trick is to keep the bike on boost
  19. This one looks nice as well bud.
  20. I think the tnt arm suits the frame really well bud, I like the seat unit and the red frame aswell .
  21. Did I mention I bought one of these which are supposed to spin up really quickly make a shit load of power and are a small unit.
