  1. can i give em a clue Garry ?
  2. try tapeing up half the pod's and see if that makes a difference, if it does it confirmes its running to lean.
  3. you do know that the MK1 and MK2 seats are totally diferent ?
  4. yeah i think it makes sence, at least it doesn't cost anything to strip it.
  5. and it was on my 2 seized mixture screws
  6. i remember seeing this problem many years ago, turned out to be the coil. not saying this is your problem though.
  7. looks like that engine has had a hard life ??? if it was mine I'd be giving it a full strip down and having a good look inside and see how everything is before spending any cash and time on it.
  8. it could be a stuck selector drum if the engine has been sat for a long time ? you can get to it with the clutch basket off and try to turn it from that side. if no joy then it'll probably be a crankcase split.
  9. 95-99 same part number, ive owned 6 bandits and worked on many more and as far as i know they are all the same unless they have been modified.
  10. ah the famous wheelie wire !!!!!
  11. you didn't say where you where, but im sure the supliers here in the UK would send you one over ? not really sort after here.
  12. theirs a few on begay here in the UK, this is just one of them. i think i counted 8 of them Suzuki GSX750ET GSX750 ET 1980-1983 Engine Cylinder Head & Valves | Eblag
  13. not a chance.
  14. looks good, they are called GSX over here in the UK, do you ever get the larger tank over their ?
  15. lol is the because womens hands are stronger than men's ?
  16. just remember GSXR and Bandit steering stems are different lengths.
  17. seats are the same on mk1 600/1200, the height difference will be in the suspension/tires. what is it you are thinking of doing ? putting a 1200 in a 600 you really need to uprate the front brakes and forks/swingarm !!!!
  18. the MK1 600/1200 frames are the same, the only difference is the 600 has welded on rear footrest hangers (1200 bolted on) and the rear engine mounting bolt hole is bigger for the 1200 so you just drill out the 600 one 2mm bigger. cam cover can be removed with engine in.
  19. if i remember right when i did mine i couldn't get any freeplay with the B12 rod after adjusting the worm drive, its why i used the B6 rod i already had.

    GS1000g

nowt wrong with shaft drive, but limited with wheel choice and swing arm length but if you want a standard bike then great.
  21. when i converted my B12 to B6 cable i found the B6 pushrod worked the best.
  22. you dont need the clutch to get it out of gear.
  23. I only have one pic of his Kat, he had to stretch the frame a bit as getting the engine in was very tight.
  24. the needle roller bearings fit into the ends of the swingarm, then the bushes sit inside the bearings with a long spacer inbetween them, then the spindle sits inside them. the bushes and the spindle are fixed to the frame so dont move at all, its the swinger that mover round them.
