  1. the output shaft isn't turning when the noise happens. its just in gear with the clutch in.
  2. i can hear it, it sounds like something is vibrating somewhere, check all engine mounting bolts are tight, when you here the noise try holding things like the tank and fairing see if that helps. the 1200's have an anti vib rubber thing bolted to the frame, on the mk1 its behind the head stock but i think the mk2 is at the back of the frame somewhere !!!!
  3. this is something im thinking of doing, dont know if i'd do it on the ET or the inazuma ?
  4. 3 turns out is pretty much max out on the mixture screws, go up one size on the pilot jet and retune the screws.
  5. I reeeeally wana know !!!!
  6. the suzuki drain tube O ring are a weird size, im sure someone in the universe does the same size at a fraction of the price ? somebody supplies suzuki with them very cheap !!!!
  7. suzuki prices take the fecking piss
  8. yeah you might have to pull the clutch plates out, my 750 ET is getting a bit that way, will have a look at some time.
  9. the part number i get is 37200-17C00 for that model ? which is "not available" as well. you might have to look around for some new old stock. what ive come across is their will probable be one that'll fit but it might have longer wires so that gives it a different P.N.
  10. your clutch is dragging. take up more slack and see if it helps.
  11. got mine sorted today, went to our local P.O. but the lass didn't know what to do so she phoned the head office. the prick on the phone said i couldn't do it till next year !!!! my bike is 41 years and 3 days since it was resisted. so went to the main P.O. and it was done in less than 90 seconds i said to the woman can i go home now and tax it ? she said no ive already done it bikes all legal now
  12. just think of all the work involved in taking a head off and putting it back on. you fire it up and a few miles down the road theirs a leak !!!!! is it worth the risk ? and be careful about the front oil drain tubes, they tend to leak sometimes form the top O ring. they are worth replacing as well BUT use OEM seals as they are an odd size.
  13. i know some reuse them, F.B.o.A.B. does and not had any problems, personally i would use a new one.
  14. just had a look on a parts diagram but it says pilot jets discontinued !!!!! so i couldn't find out the right size. what does your book say ?
  15. no idea, you need to get a manual to find the stock setup for your model.
  16. sometimes when a plug gets wet it wont spark again for some mad reason ?? have you got another set to try ?
  17. putting the standard airbox on with bigger jets will restrict the amount of air it needs and will run to rich. run it without the airfilter element and see if its better, sound like the jets are way to big for a standard airbox.
  18. are all 4 plugs the same ? are the jets and air filter all standard ?
  19. not on the ones i have !!! ive seen someone on the net who rebuilt a set and had to re'gas them.
  20. have you checked the pilot circuit drillings ? the pilot jet might look clean but if theirs a bit of crap in one or more of the drilled holes then its the same as a blocked jet.
  21. yeah i have a set of piggy backs on my zuma and they seem to work ok, also had them on another big bike i built. ok they are fecking cheap Chinese crap but for £40 its no big loss especially as the OEM ones are rusty and leaking. they do look good though their are a few reviews on them on the net and most say for what they are their ok, they are fully rebuildable as well. if you are on (like me) a very tight budget then they are usable till you can afford a good set.
  22. the swinger is a 1200 bandit arm, i had to use a reducer spacer to fit it as the ET has a 14mm spindle and the bandit has a 20mm spindle. the wheel is also B12 as i wanted the fat tyre look but a 600 wheel would be a bit easier to fit for chain alignment. i had to fit an offset front sprocket to get the chain to line up. the forks are gsxr1100 and getting very hard to find in good nick, if you do find some they are NOT cheap !!!!!! it all sounds easy but it takes a bit of work to get it all together.
  23. some of the old school Suzuki's look well with more modern parts fitted, but its not just about the look, my ET with the bandit wheels and gsxr forks makes it handle and grip better and also stop better. im using 22 years old parts so they arnt really that modern !!!!! I'd like to think if they made the ET today it would look something like this.....
