  1. Just got some off Suzuki performance spares off that site, just over £30 each side, would of order more bits off them but they don't do a postage discount.
  2. You could start with the mounts for the gsx frame to gsxr motor (as on the site) you may need to fettle them a bit but will give you a starting point. As the GS1000 motor bolts strate into the GS750 frame using the standard plates and as lots of people have put gsxr/gsxf motors in GS1000 frames its been done before Don't for get the project report we all like this stuff
  3. I've heard a lot of people put the b12 shock in the b6 to make the handle better. In my Kat (was the 750s) now has a gsx1127f motor in it and I have a gsxr750wr swingarm with a zx9r shock and that works well (don't know the specks).
  4. Miss W, is running bst36mm b12 carbs on her 1127, K&N twin filters, Cobra down pipe's with home made end can, 150 main jets, 3 turns out on the pilot jets and the needles set in the center. Has no miss fire or back popping and goes like fu*k
  5. Dose any body know if a gsxr1100 slingshot ignition switch will fit/bolt on to a B12 top yoke, ie are the bolt holes the same? Cheers.
  6. What you got on it at the moment? What's that rated at?
  7. Can't say for shore but I'd say the busa one. Bike looks cool
  8. If you check what the battery is doing by checking the Volt's on the battery at 3,500 rpm or above, should be at 14.5v, if its more or less than that most probably reg/rec if it stays at the same volts most probably geny. Then see if the battery keeps its charge other a day, if it losses charge with out using the bike may be the battery that's fu#ked or bad earth.
  9. I'm just started my ET project (in projects bit) GS1000 JMC, ET frame and B12 motor. All info there
  10. What size are your forks? 40mm/42mm?
  11. Will have a look next time I'm on eblag, most of the time I've seen them is by looking under handle bar convention and size of fork. Not always listed under bike model.
  12. Hi and welcome to OSS As to your questions... The clocks: all depends on if you want to keep the fuel gauge. If not, you could fit gsxr clocks - just check if your gsxf is the worm drive or electronic speedo version and get gsxr ones accordingly, and some gsxr clocks only have one warning light for the indicators instead of one for each side. Handlebars: you can get mounts off eblag that bolt onto your forks in place of the standard handlebars and then you can fit the renthals.
  13. That's a good one! I started work life as a car sprayer and did my City&Guilds (but not now). Only seen that sort of thing once before and had to do a lot of sanding to remove all the old paint, then seal it then some good coats of 2 pack filler primer. Looks like some badly mixed old style cellulose paint and the fibreglass & gel cost has reacted with the cellulose thinners which you mix in when spraying it. Just a guess mind you. Good luck with repaint. Can't find any decent paint to use at home these days (iso cyanates not exactly a good idea...) and not had great experiences even when paying commercial paintshops, sprayers etc of late. Modern paints are garbage.
  14. You could always convert the hydraulic to cable by using a b6 or gsx750f sprocket cover.

    1-4 coil

If you had a bad coil it would of gone down to 2 cylinders not 3. As said above, check plug, plug cap, ht lead. Always found AA/RAC to be OK with cars but they seem to be a bit lost with motorbikes
  16. May help, just put a clutch slave on miss W. GSXR 1100, it had the 35mm piston slave but put the 38mm one on and that has made a big change to the clutch, much lighter and a smoother feel. As to FBM had bad experience with them saying one thing and it not being right, so would not take there word for gospel.
  17. What you call silly BHP ? I've heard many b12 riders where their bikes are putting apx 140-150 bhp at the wheel and have just fitted a HD spring and have done lots of miles with no problems. I ask this because I'm going to be starting to build up the b12 motor with ported dot head etc.
  18. Yes, I dare you Welcome to OSS, you're getting a lot less abuse about your bike than most

    Fork

Getting more and more people coming in, asking a question for first post, with no introduction of themselves, how rude. Welcome to OSS I think.
  20. I'm like you, I would have been interested till the price came up I will stick to standard seat for that price. Sorry.
  21. Not very sensitive, compared to me a Rhino uses moisturiser. I work in a quarry and with heavy machinery. And you never knew me when I had my Rat Superdream, either! SO WHAT ABOUT YOU, APART FROM A GSX MOTOR AND BEEN RIDING FOR 30 YEARS?
