  1. I’ve got the microfiche for ET/EX. I’ll have a look later on, and see what’s on the first few pages. The codes may well be there ... but numbers won’t tell you if that’s the colours you’re after!
  2. Stroke is 137mm. Don’t know eye to eye! You could call Hagon, and ask them to look at their spec sheets. Very obliging.
  3. Pity you’re in Arizona. I have a standard system here.
  4. Stick an oil cooled motor in it. You’ve got a good start. And, welcome to OSS!
  5. It’s very nice. You’ve done a good job! Did you get the wheels powder coated? If so, gloss or satin? As far as I know, the UK speedo is a straight swap. I hope it is!
  6. Nice bike. Lots of potential. Welcome to OSS.
  7. @colinworth79Colin, I had to take all the gubbins out of the lower case to clean it out thoroughly. It was full of dust and black silicone. So, I put a dob of grease on the heel of the front tensioner, and offered the case up. Split the cases, and behold the pocket full of grease! Result! HAving said that, no selector forks to line up, so mightn't be such a success for real!
  8. I know, Clive. Not what I’m asking.
  9. C’mon! One of you hairy arsed OSSer’s must have done it?
  10. And make sure you support the farthest post with a small socket when you’re tapping on the pin. As the Badger says, very fragile!

    Cam out?

I’m replacing a gearbox bearing in a mates 1127 engine. I’ve been presented with the engine, lower case removed. My question is; Is it a fiddle replacing the lower case around the lower protruding end of the front camchain tensioner? Will it locate ok in its pocket? Or, is it better to whip the exhaust cam out, and remove said tensioner???
  12. Yup! You’ve got to keep your fingers out of the way … and the cat!
  13. You’re right! 34mm carbs std. fitment.
  14. Dried out, dropped off! Make sure you get all the crap out the bottom of the case. And the sump!
  15. And don’t over grease the cable. Too much, and it can work it’s way up the cable into the clock. Not good!
  16. Cheers, Blubber. That’s where I found it!
  17. Sorted. J model Slingshot.
  18. Model number prefix R707- Any ideas?
  19. Grease gun just eases out. No drama’s!
  20. If you come across a piston that just won’t move, take the caliper off the bike. Find a lever type grease gun. Remove the nipple end of the gun. Screw the gun into the calliper. Carefully! Pump. Even the most stubborn piston will hoist the white flag, and meekly come out into the light! Nothing can withstand that pressure. Just sayin’.
  21. Nice and neat. Just the right angle, too!
