  1. And the correct bearing is impossible to find. I know! Plenty advertisers ‘In stock’ Scroll down and ..... ‘No stock’ @Jebon here ordered one from Oz. When it arrived, right box and part number ... wrong bearing!
  2. @GloopyYou’re welcome. However, I do have a set of riders foot pegs, mounts and linkages from a 750WP that I was going to use on my ET, if any good?
  3. Or a pen knife open & shut!
  4. I do it Devilmans way. Easiest!
  5. Welcome, Curly! As the guys say, start a project thread.
  6. It looks like an alloy rim. GS750 rims were steel until the EC model in 1978. Don’t know where they went after that, I’m afraid!
  7. Ciao luigi. Benvenuto nel forum. Have a look in Frankensteins Pages in The Vault. All will be revealed!
  8. And … a small matter of chain tension. It will be at its tightest (ideally) when g/box mainshaft, swinging arm pin and rear wheel spindle are in line (with a rider aboard). Aim for a line through mainshaft, sw/arm pin and running around 25mm above the r/wheel spindle with no rider aboard.
  9. No mate, sold. Weren’t rearsets. Std EFE hangers.
  10. I need a good Mk1 B6 wiring harness. To widen the search, would Mk1 B12 do the job? Is there much difference between the Mk1’s and later models? The later the model that’ll do me would be good!
  11. Yes. I’ll sort them out, and send pics.
  12. There shout E numbers on your carbs somewhere. Take a note of it, and get in touch with the guys who supplied your nozzles to confirm they’re the right ones.
  13. Sounds like you’ve been lucky! Might pay to do a compression test though. Just to settle your mind.
  14. Me too! That’s the piece I told you was broken.
  15. There was a Harris employee on here a few years ago. Can’t remember his name. Solved a few Harris related questions.
  16. @baldrickThe amount of information this post has un-earthed is unreal! As they say, which in this case most certainly is correct, ‘Every day is indeed a school day!’ Long may it continue!
  17. Email Harris direct. Should be able to provide answers.
  18. Get it knurled. That’ll sort it.
  19. Bit of heat wouldn’t hurt. You say you ‘squashed’ the first stem. I’m supposing you mean the threads? Leave the stem nut fully on with the next one, to protect the threads.
  20. Teapot and GSX750F engines are one and the same. Do you mean differences between Teapot and 750 Slingshot? Differences may be intake angle and valve size. Definitely higher lift/duration in the Slingshot cams!
