  1. Anyone out there with a B6 motor stripped, or sans cam cover, tell me how many links an OE camchain has?
  2. Are you talking about outer case bolts? if so, just drop the bolts into the covers on the bench, and see how much thread you've got to play with. Move them around until you're happy! Use a bit of cardboard next time? Hello, by the way!
  3. Ooh! Definitely welcome then!
  4. Anyone know the specs for the above, or are they generic?
  5. Don’t know how you keep a straight face!
  6. Or go oilcooled. More power, slightly younger and lighter.
  7. Buy new. Any Suzuki dealer. Hello, by the way!
  8. Worlds your Lobster then!
  9. Geez! Hope it was cheap!
  10. Look for rust along the lower seams, and between the pressings. Everything’s repairable, but you don’t want to have to get the tools out before you start … unless the seller drops his price. Don’t be scared to say what you think is wrong with the bike. If he won’t move, walk away. There’s plenty more out there!
  11. Hi Tomas. Welcome to OSS! It’s basically an update on the old ‘oil boilers’, so nothing unusual. Look for the obvious. I think the gas tanks were bad for rusting at the lower seams, and leaking. Having said that, @wraith@TonyGeeshould be able to assist in your enquires!
  12. Oil Capacity: 471 +/- 4 ml. Oil level (fully compressed, spring removed): 80 +/- 2mm (from top of outer tube)
  13. The obvious answer is ‘Any Suzuki dealer’ but you’ll get a shock at the price. Have a look on the bay of e for a start! There’s a couple on there now. NOS. Affordable, compared to ‘main stealer’ prices!

    Nice collection!
  15. It all comes down to how much faith you’re going to put in the Loctite? It’s good ... but is it good enough???
  16. Personally, I just wouldn’t ride it! You’ve done 4K on an engine, that from the outset, you said wasn’t right. You’ve spent a lot of money on the spec, why risk it all? Go through it methodically, from the top down. Find the problem, and fix it. One step at a time. There’s no getting away from it. But, look for the obvious first! You’ll get there!
  17. Have a go then. What’s the worst that can happen?
  18. Now that’s a thought! Lateral thinking at it best!
  19. This is a bit of an enigma! If the vibes are bad enough to effect your head, and give you Tingly fingers, there’s something drastically wrong somewhere! There’s got to be something touching the frame to transfer the vibes upwards? But what???
  20. You did put tyres on the rims, didn’t you???
  21. CMM did an article on E5/E10, what was wrong with it, and how to fix it. Can’t remember which issue, but I think in the last couple of years.
  22. I'd thought of that Dezza but, unless 100% sure the Loctite will hold the bearing in the right place, and not break down ... is it worth the risk? Possible Tony, as a 'Foreigner' but paying a machine shop to do it wouldn't be cost effective!
