  1. Thanks for the answers. Where can I purchase the hose and the fittings so I can make my own? Elimax
  2. Hi all: I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. Question for you: Have any of you ever used a company that makes custom-length hydraulic brake lines with fittings to mount on master cylinders and calipers? I'm having a hard time finding a good, reputable company to do this. I'd appreciate any help I can get. Thanks very much. Elimax
  3. Hi Slayer61: Thanks for the info. My 1150ES is a monoshock model...slightly different. Thanks. Elimax
  4. Thanks for the info, you two. I'll consider it. Slayer61, what year is your ES? Regards, Elimax
  5. Hi all: Hope everyone is doing okay. Here's my question: Has anyone here heard or seen a GS1150 with a Metmachex swingarm installed? I'm considering going with a different swingarm on my 19984 GS1150ES. Thanks very much. Elimax
  6. Hi all: I hope everyone's doing okay. Here's my question: On my 1984 GS1150ES, the clear screen on the front of my speedo/tach/temperature/gear indicator gauges is quite scratched and abraded. Aside from looking on auction sites for a better-looking set of gauges, is there any good way to remove just the clear screen and replace it with a suitable clear piece of industrial plastic? Thanks very much for your help. Elimax
  7. Hi all: I hope everyone is safe and doing okay. Here's my question: The gearshift lever on my 1984 GS1150ES is quite sloppy...clearly the metals have worn down over time. Since the parts I would need to replace are no longer available (the shift lever and the shaft onto which the lever pivots), do any of you have recommendations as to who sells brass sleeves or tubes I could use to get rid of the sloppiness of the lever? FYI, I've taken the measurements with a micrometer of the thickness of the bronze I would need to make up for the worn-down metal. Thanks very much. Elimax
  8. Thanks Isleoman...I will. Elimax
  9. Thanks bitzz...I'll check out Race Tech. Elimax
  10. Hi everybody. Hope you're all doing okay. Here's my question: My 1984 GS1150ES has stock forks, which I'd really like to retain, but I want to bring the performance up to more modern standards. I've already replaced the springs with Hagons and replaced the oil with 15wt, but I'm wondering if RaceTech or any other companies make products that would improve the stock performance of these forks. Any suggestions? Thanks very much. Elimax
  11. Hi all: Has anyone here ever installed ceramic wheel bearings in their beloved Suzuki, and if so, where did you purchase them? Thanks very much. Elimax
  12. I'm partial to the looks of the stock GS1150 wheels...I just wish the rear was wider to be able to take wider tires, like 160s-170s.
  13. Thanks for the replies...I was referring to the width of the wheel, not the diameter of the wheel. For instance: The stock rear wheel takes a 130/90V17 tire, and I was considering getting the wheel widened to it could take a 160/55V17 tire, so that the rear of the bike looked more modern. But since it seems unsafe (per bitzz) I'll leave it alone. Elimax
  14. Hi all: I hope everyone is doing okay out there. I have a question for you: Do any of you know of a reputable place/person who can safely widen the stock GS1150 rear wheel? I'm hoping to get my rear wheel widened to accept a 160-170 width rear tire. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much! Elimax
  15. Hi everyone: I hope you're all doing okay. I'm having a hard time figuring out if exhaust systems from other Suzuki models/years will fit on my 1984 GS1150ES. I see ads on Eblag and at vendors for systems I think will fit appropriately on my Suzuki but often I'm not sure if they will, and I'd hate to make a purchase and find out I was wrong. Is there some sort of chart or guide for which aftermarket systems are interchangeable for Suzuki models? It would really help a lot! Thanks very much. Elimax
