I'd thought of that Dezza but, unless 100% sure the Loctite will hold the bearing in the right place, and not break down ... is it worth the risk?
Possible Tony, as a 'Foreigner' but paying a machine shop to do it wouldn't be cost effective!
And the correct bearing is impossible to find. I know!
Plenty advertisers ‘In stock’ Scroll down and ..... ‘No stock’ @Jebon here ordered one from Oz. When it arrived, right box and part number ... wrong bearing!
And … a small matter of chain tension. It will be at its tightest (ideally) when g/box mainshaft, swinging arm pin and rear wheel spindle are in line (with a rider aboard). Aim for a line through mainshaft, sw/arm pin and running around 25mm above the r/wheel spindle with no rider aboard.
I need a good Mk1 B6 wiring harness. To widen the search, would Mk1 B12 do the job? Is there much difference between the Mk1’s and later models? The later the model that’ll do me would be good!
There shout E numbers on your carbs somewhere. Take a note of it, and get in touch with the guys who supplied your nozzles to confirm they’re the right ones.
@baldrickThe amount of information this post has un-earthed is unreal! As they say, which in this case most certainly is correct, ‘Every day is indeed a school day!’ Long may it continue!
Bit of heat wouldn’t hurt. You say you ‘squashed’ the first stem. I’m supposing you mean the threads? Leave the stem nut fully on with the next one, to protect the threads.
