  1. 3d print them? We have a new best friend on this site who has 2 3d printers
  2. My 1135 efe had stock cams at 110 / 110 and rs36. Perfect combo in my memory. Made it a bit thirsty but that was because of the idiot at the throttle ( me)
  3. Welcome, It feels really fast in stock form but that is due to a lot of flexibility in the front end. That's why you see a lot of the ET and EX models on here with modern ( 1990 and up) front ends. Electrics are poor, even when new. This one is 37? Years old so expect to be replacing some connectors. Especially the generator one. Really bad parts are the voltage regulator parts. Most of the times the generator fails, taking out the voltage regulator and the battery with it. Good news...electrex sell direct replacements, others with newer mosfet style voltage regulators. Engines are good. Carburettors from a newer model, like a Bandit 1200 work really well on it. This is most of the time cheaper than rebuilding the original ones. If it has the papers...Just buy it. You found the right community to be tinkering on this one. Most parts are available via the dealers, on e-bay or even second hand from members. Our marketplace is visible after 50 posts. Currently member @WimBaas sells the correct side panels in black without emblems.
  4. Recover time can best be spent searching for project parts. It has healing powers So good luck
  5. Yes. someone will know Go on.. introduce yourself in the general section. Post some pictures of your OSS worthy bike
  6. Congratulations on the new addition
  7. Looks like a quick fix to me. Guessing the choke plunger on 3 or 4 is jammed leaving the choke useless. To "solve" it some PO cut the bracket in half.
  8. As in .... propellers, ( boat and plane, jetski ) rotor ( helicopters) and tracks ( snowmobile etc )
  9. As for your 34mm throttle bodies question ... the GSX1400 has them too. The stock injectors of it are very useable from 100BHP ( factory stock 1402cc ) to about 250BHP (turbo) Only the spacing is daft 75 - 100 -75mm ( approximately )
  10. Agreed, 1135cc GSX1100EF, EFG, or EFE. Sometimes even known as a GS1150 (e)
  11. No idea where it went. Adding to the mystery... Very little is know about it. " said to be" "said to have" only hear say info is recycled.
  12. Side shots will help. First impression is that it is a gsx1100ef engine, the 1135cc version from around 1985. That is just based on the cam cover. And the front engine plates The head can still be swapped to a "normal" 1100
  13. Due to chain clearance the wheel mostly isnt central in the arm. Like no class mentioned, first step is to get the front and rear rim inline and mock up spacers for that. Getting chain run correct is usually about fitting an offset front sprocket and slimming down the rear sprocket carrier. Sometimes it can be an option to offset the rear wheel to get the chain right but general consensus is not more than 1cm ... hence the mock up spacers Anything more looks like a bodge and will curse you for the rest of your life and give your cats 15 toes
  14. try @vizman.... he likes turning spaghetti into looms. The postman can sort the distance
  15. Damn right I am. Thanks for the "kick" Was meaning to update this topic for a while. I am only in Dunkeld on Friday and Saturday evening. I am on Isle of Skye Thursday, Leave home on Sunday.
  16. "never a failure, always a lesson" Or.. "Just do it" Pick one Prove the nay sayers wrong
  17. Looks feasible to me. Have never looked at aftermarket traction control, so using OEM stuff is definitely an option. Even from different brands. It is "just" about getting the correct signals to the ECU. I was always taught almost anything is possible especially if your pockets are deep (enough) Biggest issue I can see is your time frame...purely based on my project experience.
  18. Kill switch, side stand switch or clutch switch working like they should?
  19. Project... To me it is screaming "Japanese lane splitter"
  20. Blubber

    My day

So much for the land of the free
  21. Plus...On the 1150 the side panels cover the pods
  22. Powerbronze have them too https://www.powerbronze.co.uk/catalogsearch/advanced/result/?finder_id=&from=category&cat_id=0&brand=SUZUKI&model=GSXR750&year=1985 Might have selected the wrong one, but you get the idea
  23. I didn't take any pictures, I had very little chance of getting a " suzuki only " picture.. Even worse chances regarding the OSS worthy pictures. Maybe the others were more successful.
