  1. Welcome. Nice bike! Some of these bikes have different camshafts due to local restrictions. Yours could be a German version.
  2. The wiring.... Drum roll...hat... Coat
  3. thats a nice start . big plans for it?
  4. ..... i'll play along with this one and quote a shock distributor.: - do you ride track / race / off - road ? - do you ride solo / duo? - do you ride with luggage? - what do you weigh incl gear? - are you fast or slow? - what is your budget? - etc.... just some of the questions I got from Hyperpro. My point is... what might work for me - 115 kg incl gear, mostly solo and sedate commuting - will not be the best option for you IF you are a light weight jockey and dragrace it all the time. Welcome btw..... hop over to general and introduce yourself
  5. Does this also work on exhaust header bolts?
  6. What's the plan? Are you using the best parts of both and make it a runner?
  7. cool to see that this is on the move again
  8. @arnout has tested one on his gsx ...think it was a different brand...maybe even a one of a kind . Pretty sure he will complement or correct me.
  9. Nice - can post a picture of the choke bar plate? And...curious if you can still use the choke (or use the software for cold start enrichment )
  10. I think they still use that colour on suzuki cars. A touch up kit could be available at your local suzuki car dealer / garage. I am still meaning on researching that as my 85 Efe has the same color. A Google search a long time ago showed some suzuki car models had the same color. Hth
  11. Cool friend Make him proud and use it like intended
  12. If you already have vacuum gauges..whack them on. That's what I did. Balancing TB's helps, but what really helped was to correctly set the throttle position sensor. I have found it takes away the on/off jerkyness in the low revs..like during filterimg.
  13. Not sure why...but i did this..years ago Others just fitted newer clocks or even aftermarket ones, just to suit their taste at that moment. My point... Just do what you like...it's your bike.
  14. How pure do the efe's need to be? There are a lot on here with a different engine...Or more
  15. Not a real help but.... I can predict some replies you will receive. Fit a turbo, Sell as barn find, Fit a 600 or 750 engine, Convert to Efi, Tried cursing? Check carbs again, shine through every hole to check for blockage, inspect diaphragms for pin holes. None of these are options you'll probably like.
  16. My bet would be just the CDI. Maybe @banoffeebanoffee can share his experience... If i am not mistaken
  17. I know that the 1135 Ef was robbed of its power by the cams for some markets. I have seen carb tops with limited stop ( extra moulding) to reduce power. Most Japanese imports had a different CDI. Those 3 would be the items I would check on the parts site, to check were the difference between the country would be.
  18. The 1100 twin shock versions of that era fits. Btw who's is the red one?
  19. "asking for a friend " Who are you thinking to fool
