  1. Life does have its bonuses - fixed your quote LOL!
  2. I'm guessing / hoping that the piece #37 is present and correct? As the original chain would have been a 630 - there should be acres of space for a 530!
  3. 'spose it might if you wanted a shafty A/C 1100?
  4. I didn't know that! - that pretty much rules that solution out LOL!
  5. Fag ash only blows into your eyes @ 120mph - smoking is over rated LOL!
  6. The turbo from a Smart car may work but even that is for an engine at least 50% larger than the OP is using! And regarding the VF20's, I personally wouldn't fit a BB turbo to an aircooled engine without some form of liquid cooling!
  7. I don't think a blandit sump would make a shred of difference - you tilt the outlet up & it puts the exhaust inlets on the piss! You'd have to re-bend the whole manifold to make a better fit!
  8. Maybe because it appears that he's trying to use a Micron can so a 'custom' link pipe required which seemingly is where a non performance related issue has arisen! EDIT - Apologies to Dezza, Just re-read the whole thread and yeah I agree - why doesn't a whole Cobra system fit, presumingly you got a whole system?
  9. Ok, if there is fairing damage and engine damage be prepared for them to write it off as uneconomical repair ! The parts bill - if you could get them! - would ensure that! Don't accept 1st or 2nd offers - get evidence to support a 'fair' valuation for yours 'pre accident' and ask what salvage price will be!
  10. Got to agree with ^^^ For a few hours work, a s/hand cover and gasket you'll have saved your excess and a loading on the ins. premium for the next 5 years!
  11. IHI RHB51B - try finding one of those now LOL!
  12. If its where I think it is - it is most certainly load bearing as it holds and locates the steel pin of the idler and resists the axial force applied through the gear. The cover helps hold the outer side but that's only 50% support. I wouldn't risk JB Weld - really needs welding!
  13. They are likely not soft in terms of timing but in lift! If a turbo engine has low lift cams you will have to use more boost to get required mixture in - more boost means more heat and potentially more problems! What the hell does 'manual controlled injection' mean? Some sort of hand cranked pressure pump? Personally I wouldn't use E85 without EFI to meter the fuel - the stuff eats plastics and rubber in carbs that aren't ethanol safe and finding a carb/s able to cope with the wildly varying airflows / pressures from a turbo install will be difficult. Not to mention finding a small enough turbo that won't be laggy as hell with only 400cc to drive it - even a GT15 will likely be too big! Its - I think - a foolhardy mission and a potential money pit! If the bike is low powered - sell it and buy something with more!
  14. The Q plate bit has been quietly deleted from the MOT manual - the plate has to have been issues pre 83 I think? EDIT - Apologies, the above is duff info, presented as fact on another site! So ignore the above!
  15. Claimed - and @ the crank, and I don't think anyone saw that !
  16. 'snot much though is it! 35-40hp over stock ain't gonna trouble anything LOL!
  17. Well - gsxr crank and clutch basket for starters. Mixing & matching clutch bits seems to be a minefield so probably a whole clutch transplant would be easier?
  18. Close but no cigar LOL! . . . . .
  19. Even as stock they are ! ! ! It my not stop the determined, but the steering lock does stop opportunists! And yes I do know how to defeat both through necessity LOL!
  20. Not only is it not the right bike it's not the right pipe either! The guy wants a Pro Pipe ie. a V&H Drag Racing type megaphone ! ! ! I can post up loads of pic's of the right pipe but fitted to EFE's - so that would be pointless!
  21. F**k that's gonna confuse people who know Suzuki wiring colour codes! Blk / W is Suzi earth, but this goes to Bat + ! ! ! Scary if you get that one wrong! Personally i'd splice in correct colours to follow loom up to the remote device?
  22. What - the 50mm diaphragm one?
  23. Its always an option to include an in-line thermostat to control flow to the cooler - not often used on race bikes as coolers are usually sized as small as possible just to do the job and no more.
