  1. So due to unforseen circumstances, of the 3 bikes I have to use on track days, only Brian has a chance of being ready for next week at castle Coombe.. I was going to use the Teapot but shit happens .. this will be a bit of a test for Brian as last year my starboard Hip was really hurting after about 8 laps of Angelsey, so we will see if its got worse, the teapot and bandit are much more comfy, so i might have to accept that as time passes i cant ride small bikes with high foot pegs. Bigger probelm is getting back into my romper suit..
  2. Just to fit a 1216 piston kit and up rated cams you don't need a degreeing wheel, which is what i think you are referring to. only if you are fitting adjustable cam wheels
  3. In my opinion the bandit handles better, or mine dose, the teapot is longer and a bit wobblyer when pushed hard, it gets in a bit of a state when changing direction really quick. BUT it issoooooo much fun, in fact I’ve got mine sorted agin for use this year, test day at t castle Combe 5th next month,,
  4. I’ve got head coolers and cam links on all mine, head coolers are useful
  5. because they look shiny gratuitous picture of shiny things....
  6. I’ve always swapped the switches, easy peasy..
  7. As a rule,of thumb on a b12 5 mm difference on the dog bones lifted or dropped the riders seat height 25mm
  8. Looks like I might have talked Mrs Fatbloke into coming along, so if you need something for the stand, Chubb’s, I’ll have the teapot and Motomartin available between going round in circles seeing if I can remember the way round Caldwell…
  9. I did my first dot head and cams onto a standard B12 about 2004, it was epic bolt on HP. It did 133 rwhp with decent can and pod filters and went like fek, I dint degree the cams as I don’t know I supposed to!! I was told it wouldn’t work unless the cams were degreed?? this was after I had done a track day at snetterton, it didn’t blow up… Ive done 2 more since using aftermarket camS, they have all been lively to say the least….. 2006 was the last year of the oil cooled bandit motor, like Colin said, very similar, the frame was different and the wheel are from Gsxr, but motor the same…
  10. Nice one Dezza. I’ve had a look and the loom I used was a very late bandit mark 2 all intact, so I might just plug in a set of indicators, in case tHere is any dispute. rear brake hasn’t got a switch, and I forgot the brake doesn’t work at all so I’d better make the brake work first
  11. So plan "D" im working away next week until end of February, 1st track day booked at castle coombe 5th of May, so absolutely no chance of getting anything finished by then so, I went out the garage, inserted some petrol and pushed the tit, and it fried straight up and ran fine.. I might get another rear tyre, but other wise, "if it aint broke don't fix it" Only thing i will do is fit indicators and see about MOTing it.... Dose a Q reg need indicators???????????????
  12. It’s all easy enough, depending on the year, you might need to swop the ignition pick up, neutral switch, and alternator as the plugs are different between mk1 and later mk2, and the sups will swop straight over with pick ups, check the oil drain tubes as well as some are different.
  13. and it needs the locating peg and half ring. so a standard one wont do...
  14. I’m fact it’s Nick at Griffs he lives about 10 mimutes from me
  15. Yes Griffs the bloke Ill give him a ring
  16. thats the trouble, I have no patience! Ill have a word with the people In brizzle that ive used before for wheels and stuff.
  17. So after visiting Trumpland for a mates daughters wedding, and 2 months working away, ive got home and finally made some room in the garage to crack on.... So how the fek do you get rock hard powder coat off one of these frames.?? i guess it has to be done chemically, or something not to abrasive?? Just booked track day at Castle Coombe April the 5th so better get a move on Gratuitous picture as I havent posted any for ages..

  20. Well mine must be special then I did a test piece at 59 mm before making the new tool, and the spacing is wrong so I did one at 58mm and all is well
  21. That’s why I asked, to me it looks like 58 mm, to my mate 59ish I need an accurate measurement!!
