Tony is right, if you can find a good set Gsr 1100 slingshot are the easiest to fit as lots of parts are common between Gsxr and bandit..and they are lonngggggg fitting the R1 front end is all documented in the Members project section, “Number 25”

be carefull, gsxr k series are mostly too short and you will bash the oil cooler with the front mudguard, Have you bought a front end yet?? Do some measuring first, and how much do you weigh????????????????? keep bandit bearing sizes, and if using later yokes, a top hat spacer needs to be made to take up stem sizes difference.. lost of stuff cam be made to fit bandits, ive done lopts of differant ones over the years, this is the latest one, R1 front end complete with excellent brakes. these were easy peasy.. and these took a LOT of work, late modle gsxr 10000 with brembos.

Yes loads of them, its the shock i use all the time on mark 1 bandits, as its easiest to fit, As to improving handling, depends how fat you are, if like me you are adult sized, it could need re spinging with a stiffer spring to enable getting the right amount of static sag. also they raise the rear a bit to make it turn in quicker, alright if you have long legs, but easeily fixable with longer dog bones if its too high. had one on my shiny one for years..... works a treat..

Are you sure its 17 front as they dont fit unless one of the sprocket cover pillars is ground away?? That sound way to sensible anyway , , on a standard motor 1200 i normally use 15 /47 to give it a bit more acceleration, and liven it up....

Here you go Tony, i cant remember what front wheel i was trying to fit ( aprillia mabey ) but i modified this bandit speedo drive to fit a 28 mm spindle?? and turned down the thickness as well, it works fine, so boring one to 25 mm should be a doddle,.

Hang fire tony, I bored a bandit 20mm one out a a while ago to fit a different wheel, I cant remember if it was 25mm but ill check ive still got it somewhere, when i did the front end on my shiny bandit i bushed the fork bottoms as i wanted to use bandit wheels, it works fine

get hold of Dave rdubandit hes in North Carolina and has many bandits and knows stuff as hes clever... even though you are using a car battery id still stick a meter on it and push the tit, just to see what the voltage drop is, only take 10 seconds

yes soem gsxr's have the resistor, not sure which ones have and have not?? Later ones deffinetly have the resistor as ive used them on various B12's..

so has this bike run with that specifice igntion siwtch ever?????? 1st thing id check is the secondary earth plug for the loom, small spade connector just after main earth connection near the batery, if thats unplugged or badly corroded it wont fire... 2nd is do a volt drop check on the battery, if the battery voltage goes much below 10/11 volts when cranking then the cdi wont spark anyway, had this a couople of times with b12's with batteries that wont hold a full charge, they look fine static at 13 or more volts, but when truning the motor over it drops right down..
