  1. easiest way to tell is the bottom of the stanchion, L/M have the seal carrier as a separate part,, the later water cooled WN onwards are all one piece, gold ones on right and black ones are L/M silver ones on left are water cooled 1100, silver ones in middle are WP, gold in middle are K series, different spindle size and spacing, . and the blue ones are 750 WR.. SRAD have bigger spindle size than the slingy ones but same spacing. ..

  3. So Brian went ok really, just scraped through noise. Test at 105 db But riding back to paddock the other footpeg Came undone biggest problem was the peg position i measueed and measure and tried it out and it seemed ok but on track with boots and leathers I could not get up on the pegs aNd by the end of a go my hip was kiling Me so off to garage to sort that and an annoying misfire at 5-6k then it went like Fek but brakes and suspenders weee excellent

Teething problems!!!! fekin thing nearly went in the canal So plan F….. leave Brian alone for now, and take teapot and Brian to CC. it was fired up couple of weeks ago and stuck in corner of garage on a battery charger.. got it out filled it with super duper unleaded and pushed the tit… CLICK. Arse….. bat flattery, optimate was duff…… get another charger and leave it on for 4 hours, push button , CLICK Double arse, battery buggerd!!! haven’t got time to get another one, so drag bandit out, was fired up recently but then I drained the petrol. All the petrol is now in the teapot!!!!!, so drain gas and fill bandit, fired it up and did a lap of Trowbridge GP circuit, got back and realised the back tyre is shot and the new on is on the teapot…Tripple Arse…… give up go to fridge for beer then realised I had it all last night BUGGER…. Now watching antiques roadshow considering selling all bikes and buying antiques!!!
  10. So found spare B12 clutch, fitted it with one Barnett HD spring.. rwalised why the tap had been modified the hole is to small to take the filter. So I opend it out and bought a new tap with filter fitted it all cleaned carbs again!!! So off I went down the road for a quick test. Got about 500 yard and went into 3 then 2 cylinders !!!!! Chugged back home and whipped tank off again Re routed the pipe to both port side carbs so it isn’t kinked off down the road again and it went OK good enough to try Friday clutch is spot on now got home just as the left foot peg came undone and span round
  11. I have a spare complete clutch in a box somewhere can’t be arsed tonight, it’s beeeer time

I have had one with plates fell to bits, they were non Suzuki ones and some idiot wheeled it everywhere then complained the clutch went Not seen a hub that hot though I reckon some idiot had this one and the clutch slipped so added HD springs, it still slipped so stuck another spring then another steel to attempt to stop slippage….
  13. Wise words matey, wise words….. yup much better finding it now than next Friday at castle Combe. Just hope I can sort all the issues, I have teapot and b12 running ok now so have back up……..
  14. FEKIN motorbikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This engine came from a mate who had it sat in garage for 3 years he bought a running b12 and took the motor out, He rode it home so I assumed the engine was good, .. Not only was there 3 diaphragm springs in the 2 x HD and a std one, but one too many steel plate and lots of fecked fibers!!!!!!!!!!!!! The hubs been baked as well. ARSE bugger and BUM 5 days to first track day..... better go find all the missing bits I suppose,

Anyway fitt3d clean carbs, new plugs and oil and fired it up, much better noise wise. so whipped the clutch springs out???? thers 3 in there 2 Barnett HD and a standard one?? had a think and realised I just had a look and saw the H/D spring and left it, looks like someone in the past was too tight to fix a slipping* clutch better have it to bits and have a look!!!! Fekin motorbikes!!!!!!

  17. Bugger indeed the oil is newish so it will need dumping
  18. Yes been modified so I found some filter gauze and made a filter, that will do for now in case I can’t get a new one???
  19. Yes oils a bit smelly I’ll change it anyway,, and took the tap out bugger me no filter that will do it
  20. Carbs off, 2 vlaves had bits of shite in them keeping them open... Next have the tap apart and check the strainer i suppose???
  21. Might be on the teapot yet.... in fact im taking both just incase.. need to find my on board camera and make bracket as awell..
  22. It was all going so well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in an effort to make Brian pass the noise test at Casle Coombe, i fitted a differant race can, it worked well and its much more acceptable. BUT, the phone rang and when i came back i put the bike away without turning the Pingel off! couple of hours later Mrs fatbloke says " whats that smell" instantly I knew. ran out to gargae and about 20 quids worth of super duper unleaded is on the gargae floor.. Bollox, so carbs off and clean them out again to seal the float valves and empty the engine of gas.. Bloody motor bikes

    It was along time ago, the only ones i listed are ones i actually took the engine apart and knew which ones were which, so no slabbies im afraid.. this of course asumes that the oigional cams were in the engines I had to bits..

    It was along time ago, but I think the letters stamped on the end were both B's 750 J/K Both N's B12 one B one S 1100K??? one B one G 1100 power screen????
